OT: Skyline GTR R34 VSpec 1st time riding in it
The car was a Nissan Skyline GTR R34, it had exhaust and boost controller, boost set at 1.5bar, and had cwest front bumper and cwest sideskirts and a Blitz BOV.
The car just looks amazing, and the ride, that thing is freaking fast. No words to describe it, simply put, try it before you die. As the car climbs towards redline, youre just stuck to the seat, and theres no tire squeeling at all. Its officially the fastest car ive ever ridden in.

See if Lingenfelter will take you for a spin in his 7 liter vette. It's in MotorTrend this month:
0-60 = 1.97 sec (yes, 1.97)
0-100 = 4.33 sec
0-150 = 9.27 sec
That sort of acceleration would rearrange your internal organs somewhat.

You wouldn't pass out from that type of acceleration at all. I believe the human body can physically handle something like 6 or 7 g's for sustained periods.
Bikes run in or near that range from the factory. Dragsters run quicker than that. Sure would make for a fun street car, don't you think?
I'd love to pull up to someone, pop the hood (you have to see the pics in the mag as it has the factory 5.7L rocker cover trim pieces), and get some Viper owner to race. That would be some serious fun.

of course my opinion is biased....look at my login name.
anyway, 1.5 bar is by no means slow, and as for looks, in my opinion, the skylines got vettes and vipers beat. A 22psi GTR has a CLK Kompressor beat im pretty sure.
On the way home from there, we saw 3 carreras, and a Lotus Esprit V8, so all in all it was a rather amazing day. As for the previous fastest car ive been in, it would have to be a 5.0 Stang GT running 150shot, pre 94, it was stick and it was fast, but the skyline was faster by a significant margin.
As for its looks, yea the rarity of the car in the states makes it far more appealing than a vette or viper, regardless of the GTR being slower when stock. Just seeing this thing is just amazing, all the pictures u see in magazines and on websites, doesnt even prepare u to see this thing in person. Its nose isnt quite as long as pictures seem to make it, first thing i noticed is that the length was shorter than i had expected, but everythign else was better than i thought it would be, the LCD in the center console is just amazing at what it does. The stock seats are racing seats, the rear seats are grooved for 2 people, and the engine was simply beautiful. I've been a Nissan fan since i first found out about cars, and finally getting to see Nissan's best, thats the reason im probably blowing the whole thing out of proportion, but i still reccomend that u see one in person.

Hmmm. You mean to tell me, this guy is selling a 9 sec street legal Vette? I would assume if he could go 0-100 in 4.33 sec, he must be going about 140-150 mph in the 1/4 mile.

I agree that it won't be done on Potenza's but it don't mean it can't be done.

My boss has a custom made Superformance Shelby Cobra replica, with a custom race engine that has 496 RWHP.
Both these cars are so fast, that it's really hard to tell which is faster, so I'm guessing by HP and weight the Cobra is faster. It doesn't really matter cause both times I was too busy smiling and laughing at how fast we were going.

I don't have the magazine with me, but I believe he did run 150 mph in the 1/4.
He builds some monster cars.

9.5 for the 1/4" mile. I think that's about right for a 750hp car I guess. The TT supras on Singles are running just about that I suppose also.

Veilside running their GT-R from 0-300km/h in 13.72s. That is 0-188mph in imperial units.

u guys are talking about Vettes running on twin turbo and motors with built bottom and top ends. The GTR i rode in was practically stock, new exhaust, stock intakes, blow off valve and a boost controller, set the boost at 1.5bar, and that was it, no reinforced bottom end, no head work, the motor was stock, and just overboosting.
