Street Glow fire... next day check engine light came on?

my street glow burnt up ,the transformer in the engine short circuted and all the wires melted.the neon tubes them sleves arent damaged at all. but the next day the check engine light came on. the wires melted completly i had to pour milk on the engine it was the only thing around that or beer but alcohol and fire wouldnt have mixed well so...

the wires that melted run from the transformer which sits under my intake in through the fire wall and into the cabin of the car. the only damage i can see is that the floor matt has burn marks in it and the battery cover is slightly singed.

and yes i already know street glow is rice and i shouldnt have bought it so i dont need to hear any wise a*s remarks.

ouch.. all the wires burning up? doesnt sound too good.. although the milk thing is quite ingenious.. water would just spread an electrical fire like that.. good choice of using milk..

But is the CEL blinking a fault code? Where are the wires situated in the engine bay? check any sensor near there because the melted wire could of crossed with any others or give the sensor a bad reading..

ok i did the self diagnostic and the code came up as a bad Rear Heated O2 sensor, is this sensor near the battery at all? cause that would explain it as it probably would have been melted in the fire.

Someone more knowledgeable then myself may correct me here, but I believe that the O2 Sensors are on the Y-Pipe. Actually I KNOW they are, but I've never heard the term 'Heated' before. Look for a write-up on Y-pipe installation, get the location of the wiring harnesses from that and go back and check the snesors and harnesses themselves. I don't recall either as being nearby the battery, so idk...
