Hey Guys...

I want to add a cool air intake and new air-filter to my 5th Gen.
I keep hearing stories though that if you mess w/the intake system, the "check engine" light will stay on. In other words, you can make the modification with a cool air intake sytem but the "check engine" light will stay on all the time is this true?
If this is true, is there anything that can be done to remedy this? What is the best cool air intake system to get for a 5th gen? If anyone can give me any info or piont me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it...thanx in advance.

But on my 97 I installed a place Racing CAI and I had no problems with the check engine light. A month later did my buddies I30 and got a check engine light. the only thing we did to solve the problem was reset the computer and no more problems. that was about eight months ago and still no problems. By the way I don't think anyone else makes a true CAI for the maxima other than Place racing. I've heard rumor of one from Weapon R but no one I know can verify the fit,performance benefits or price on this item.
