Last wednesday night, I was running the max pretty hard on 476(hot day). After getting off my exit, I pull up to an ATM machine and shut off the car. I start the car back up and start slowly following the directions I was given. A few minutes later, my "Service Engine Soon" light came on (WTF). I searched the internet and used Andi's direction to get the code "0215". I did not see that code on the printout. In addtion, my local mechanic(not nissan dealer) hooked up his computer(consult thing) and it recieved "unknown computer error". I called my dealership, and asked them to lookup the code, and they said that they do not look them codes up for people on the phone anymore, and that I would have to bring my car in.

Anyway, the car is running a little rough. Actually its kind of smooth when you start it up cold. When driving the car seems sluggish. If I nail the throttle (especially after 3000 rpms) the car my buckle/subder like its not getting enough fuel or bad gas of something. If I let off the throttle real quick, the cars rpms drops lower than normal then balances itself out. Its pretty bad. I looked at the plugs today and they seem a little "white" (lean?). I am currently runnning bosch +4s with 10k on them on a supercharged engine. I have had no problems up until last wednesday. Also, if I reset the mil light. It does not come on right away. I have to drive the car a little bit and get over 3000 rpms.

here is the problem more ->

ok trouble code 0215 means its the Evaporative Emission canister vent control valve. This canister is located in the rear of the car i believe under the right rear wheel. THe evap canister vent control valve is used to seal the canister vent.
I had this same problem on my car. That canister is very sensitive and most likey you hit a hard bump in the road and caused the canister to shift and set off the mil light. All you have to do is reset the ecu and start driving again and the light should go off.
Let me know what happens!!!

Thanks for the reply Drew. I have reset the ecu a couple times. After I reset it the warning light comes back on after driving for about 5 miles or so. In addition, there definitely is something up with my acceration. When your this happened to your car, how did you finally find out what this code meant? documentation? Did you experience any adverse driving characteristics?

Thanks,

Matt
