Leaking injectors?
Leaking injectors?
Hey all, Yesterday when I was hanging my cap and rotor, I noticed there's fuel seeping from the two front and two rear injectors. What's up with that? Is there a fix, or does one just pull and replace? Thanks.

If you have a 2nd gen '85-88, call up your local Nissan dealership and make sure that they were replaced under the recall. All you have to give them is your VIN and they can punch it in the computer and let you know. If you don't get that fixed, you're looking at a serious fire hazzard. There have been 2nd gens that have burned up because of this, that's why the recalled them.
If they were already replaced, you may have to replace the fuel injectors, the harness, or the fuel rail, depending on where it's leaking at. You're looking at a $750 repair if you take it to a mechanic. The recall is free by the way, although they may replace your fuel filter which you'll have to pay for, which is only like $10.

Turbo'd?
Avalon, No, as much power as this thing has breathing normally...Too much for me, hey. As far as what it is, I didn't really know that I had something, my original plan was to pull the driveline for a TR4/6 transplant. Now that I've been driving it regularly I want to restore it
. After the daughter's MG, and the other daughter's Spitfire are done, thoes were both supposed to be my cars, what the h#*l happened here? No big deal, the Max is almost invisible to the cops, so, much happier motoring. Later.
