brake light won't work on my spoiler
My friend was following me down the road the other day (in his Ford Escort HAHA!!!) and he told me later that the brake light on my spoiler was out. So naturally within the hour I went out to get new bulbs for it. The only problem is that it still doesn't work!! What should I check for? The fuse under the dash is good... Help.

i don't know i never had that problem
but this is what i would do. go to the hardware store, buy some wire and elecrical tape. take off the cover on the bottom of the truck lid. find the wires going to the lights. it shouldn't be hard since those should be the only wires up there. splice into them and rewire them to the tail lights. thats if you tail light get brighter when you press the brakes to. if it doesn't then ignore everything i just said and take it to the shop.
Re: i don't know i never had that problem
I have this problem on my 90SE. I don't know what's wrong either. I tested the wires everywhere. They are all good except where the taillight wire splits out to the spoiler light wire. To me, It's really not a big deal (sort of like the electric antenna). But if you want to fix it, replace the wire that goes to the spoiler. That's your fix. I just don't have time anymore to do much to my max. Between school, a Full time job, a part time job, my girlfriend, and my car, I have to set my priorities. I'm working on getting sway bars for the 90SE, but I have to find the time to put them on.
