Pictures of my Maxima, and my friends Sentra

Well the weather seems to finally be cooperating, so today I registered the Maxima for the summer. It feels so good to be able to driver it again, much better than the Bronco I had been using for the winter. I took some pictures of the Maxima, along with my friends Sentra, hope you enjoy.

Very nice, how fast are those 2k sentras? My GF's cousin's BF has one, and wanted to race a while back.

It's still blue, the sun had already gone down so the lighting really sucked. It's weird, the car looks really blue in direct sunlight, but black at night.

The wheels are Dotz Diablos.

Wow could have fooled me I thought it was black too. Nice car, especially the front end.

The new Sentra is a nice car. I just rode in one this morning after dropping my car off (getting body work done) at the Nissan dealership.

Nice pics of your Maxima..it really looks clean.

But more importantly, where are pics of your Porsche??? I want full shots, interior/exterior/engine bay!

Seriously, do you have any pics of your Porsche or other nice cars from your car collection <if you have one>?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

dmontzmax, I raced his Sentra when all we both had was an intake, and I beat him by ~6cars. But now he has a nice list of mods and his car is really quick. SR20's can be made very fast if they are tuned properly. But if your buddy's Sentra is stock you will have no problem walking him.

EF-9, I wash my car with Sunlight dish soap then use Sundance wash + wax. I do this every time I wash my car (which is ~2 times a week).

mAdD MAX, the Porsche isn't registered yet. I'm waiting until I my parts come in for it (I/H/E, cost just over $5000 ), then I will gladly take some shots of it. Have you ever seen the "engine bay" of a 911? It's nothing special to look at. It's located in the back hatch, and there isn't much you can see. But nevertheless I'll still take some pictures of it. Maybe the new intake will make it look a little more appealing.

So you've never driven the Porsche yet?? That's gotta suck..just sitting there in your garage begging to be driven!

What year is it? So your not driving it till you get the aftermarket performance mods? Why?

I've never seen the engine bay, I wanted to see how hte engine fit in there, where the intake/exhaust was...etc..

Could u post more info about the Porsche?

<I'm a Porsche nut and will own one Porsche in my lifetime!>

Supermachoman: I was reading one of your other threads, where you mentioned the rare Maxima puneskune edition. I think I saw one the other day, but I'm not too sure.

I live in Winnipeg too, you have a porsche? sweet ride man, what year and model? My buddy's dad has a 2000 911 C4 and it's silver.

You might know him, his name is finnigan.

Hahaha...Ya I saw him cool arming in his 996, he looked kind of piœsed, maybe it's because he has a cobra-thumb. The Puneskune edition is very rare, in fact I'm the only one who has one, you probably saw me smoke that M5 down Chief Peguais Bridge, right after I got punaskuned by that ZawSix. I'm coming over in 20 mins, so I'll see you soon.

It reminds me of a Grand Prix
However, you've just sold me on getting a front lip for my 95 SE. That's Stillen right?

Nice ... I'm considering driving my Max full-time now that winter is almost over (MICHIGAN WEATHER SUX!!) so it'll be nice to stop using the Escort for a while.

The Sentra 2.0 is sweet!

I drove the Sentra w/ the SR20DE & sports package. It was soooo sweet to drive! Best Sentra in my opinion (I prefer it over the ones with the new QR25DE engine).

The powertrain was matched perfectly ... pity fuel economy sucked (rated 24/31 manual) but when I was on the highway in 5th at 75mph, I could still put the pedal to the metal and feel the pull. To helll with fuel economy when you've got a truely balanced pocketrocket.

That's the best Sentra! 2001 was the last year for it ...

2 questions

1. What size are your wheels? 17's? 18's?

2. What brand of springs do you have?

Supermachoman: That was a sweet race with the 2k2 Max last night. After your mods (hopefully today) you'll own that thing easy!

I raced around with a GTP this morning on the way to work. I mashed him off the line obviously, but we raced a few times on the roll.
Both times on the roll I was pulling ever so slowly in 2nd and 3rd, but once I hit 4th I pulled like mad. I guess since my 4th gear comes in at about 140, that's when the GTP's lose the power. Last year when I raced jared in his done up GTP it was dead even all the way, but right when I stuck it in 4th, I was slowly inching ahead of him.
