Unorthodox Pulley Group Deal

I am trying to gauge the interest in a group deal for the Unorthodox pulley set for the Max. Should be all 5th gener's. Maybe more years. Let me know if you are interested and I will gather some numbers and try to find a deal.

belts are $5-8 at your local autozone. Definitely not worth shipping.

Good luck, gt1380a. Others have tried to put together group deals on UDPs in the past and Unorthodox Racing has been less than generous with their discounts. But you know what they say. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

The 95-01 pulley is the same size so 4th gens can definatly be included. The 2002 pulley is a tad different, count me on a 2002 one if the price is decent or better.

:o)

I definately want one but a.) For a 4th gen. and b.) For a SuperCharged 4th gen. I have been speaking to Shawn at UR for a month or so and he says in mid-June, they will have a stock diamter, lightened pulley. That is the one I would like, if possible. Thanks.

I am actually working on it. I have a friend that works for a speed shop in ATL that sells unorthodox. He is contacting them this week for some numbers. He said they are a pain to work with though. I will keep all updated.

Not to bust anyones bubble, but i used to have Unorthodox racing pulleys on my 96 mazda protege.

I had nothing but problems with them, in that the belt would always squeal and snap. I used to replace belts every three weeks. No other accessories were problem matic as all were easily spun by hand. I got rid of the car now so i never really figured out why it was happening but i was going on the reasoning that it might be that the UDP were a little out of alignment..

That's an understatement, gt1380a, as your friend is about to find out. UR doesn't support group buys, or at least they haven't in the past. So don't hold your breath waiting for a meaningful discount. You'll be lucky to get $5.00 off of retail.

Ive heard that too. Screw them if they dont want to make a deal. We will all just walk away and not buy one. Im not paying 200.00 for a pulley. It's a matter of principle !

we are the buyer, we have the money, we should hold the power. UR should be begging us to buy stuff from them. They should be delighted that we even put our time into looking up their products.

Maybe they will knock off 20 bucks if we put a decal on our cars...

To the best of my knowledge, UR makes the ONLY UDP for the Maxima. That puts them in a monopoly position. When was the last time you heard of a monopoly giving a **** about the consumer?

UR's philosophy is simple. If you want to buy a pulley at the price they charge for it, then buy it. Otherwise, go complain to somebody else.
