went by the nissan dealer and ended up test driving...

i was driving by the nissan dealer and noticed a 99 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro 5-speed sitting in the used lot. i stopped to take a look at it, and the salesman talked me into taking it for a spin. i was expecting a marvelous car ($21k pricetag). the car was nice, nice interior design, good looking exterior. then i started to notice the very mediocre things about it. very very small interior space, lack of torque on the throttle, and modest acceleration. as soon as i returned from my jaunt i immediately went back to my maxima thinking i had the much nicer car, and wanted to mash that gas! behold the power of the max.

I had a simila experience with a WRX - I liked it, and may eventually get one, but despite how fast I know it is - I was suprised it seemed to have less torque when punching it in the 40s to 60s

The WRX isn't too fast after it reaches a certain speed. The 0-60 is 5.4 but the 1/4 mile is 14.7 at 93. This nothing a maxima can't do in the 1/4 mile with just a couple minor mods.
Thanks,
Paul

We rule

My girl just recently got a 97 Acura 3.0 CL so I have been researching it on various forums. One fo the threads was talking about how much better there cars were than ours. I had to let them know that one of the enemy was amongst them. And if they saw my family sedan pull up at a light then they could tell everybody on the board how the MAXIMA on my trunk continued to get smaller and smaller...
