New member needs help!!! and some info...

I just got a '96 SE and am really happy and impressed but I have some problems. One that really makes me worry is that whenever I step on the gas I can feel something not right. It's really hard to explain. It feels as if though the throttle is being blocked or something, I don't know too much about cars so I can't really tell you. On all previous cars I've driven, when stepping on the gas I would feel a steady flow, but my MAX feels as if though it's not that smooth. Help me out guys.

Other thing I got an AT and will put in a MT soon and just want to know if a 6-speed is possible for a 4th GEN???

when you mean it doesnt accelerate right do you mean the rpm gauge jumps? or does the transmission not know what gear to shift into? you need to explain a little better...

since ive been driving my old maxima lately i feel like im noticing the same thing you are. only thing i can say is that its just the way the auto feels. sometimes when you press the gas it feels really weak for couple of seconds then all of a sudden it downshifts and you're off.

i have a 99' auto and it's not doing that. maybe it's something to do with age? you might want to tighten the throttle cable for a more response.

No, acceleration is perfect, it's just that Ifel like there is something wrong cause I can feel something when I press the gas. When you press the gas in any car you can feel a liquid flowing under your foot(am I right?), well it feels like the path of that liquid might not be completely clear...
