Question about springs/lowering/struts.

I want to get some lowering springs. Eibach, H&R, whatever, haven't really decided yet. Anyway, here are my questions. First, can i buy just after market springs and use them with my stock struts? Second, whats the advantage to buying aftermarket struts? I want my car, lower, and a stiffer ride, however will the springs be enough to accomplish this? thanks.

The further down you drop your car, the quicker your stock struts/shocks will give out. If you swap out your springs, it's a good idea to do the shocks/struts as well. The thing with just getting springs and putting them in is installation $$ if you don't do it yourself. It's usually a couple hundred bucks at a typical shop. Doing both springs & shocks/struts saves money.

Shocks/struts control the spring bounce....so with just springs yes, you car will be lower, but it won't necessarily ride better. Do a search to find out more info regarding this topic.

if you use the stock struts, your car will bottom out often, you need aftermarket shocks to dampen the normalizing(downward) force on the springs (in other words, since the spring is smaller, the force needed to bring it back up must be higher)

yup, $500 - $700 is about right. $150-200 for springs, $330-400 for structs, and some more for some parts if neccessery ....

do a search to find what spring/struct you want and where to get it cheap.

Used? you save not much....do a search, and you'll know.
