What would cause my max to loose power ?

I notice while driving my wife into work today that my car is running very slugglish. I feel a big power lost, like my car has lost it's punch.

Now it's worst,I really have to push on the gas to get it to go. I stop at a local filling station were they also do car repairs and the mechanic there said that it's probably the clutch?

What could be the cause of this?
Please Help

It could be your knock sensor. If it is it costs about $140 new.

Is it a lot more sluggish than the day before?

I was going to suggest a couple things for you to think about:
- last time you serviced the Max;
- is your air filter really dirty;
- trying fuel injector cleaner

Good luck!

I had the same symptoms when my catalytic converter crumbled and clogged my exhaust.
