Yeah...I am the king of those tickets....in one month:

3 tickets for white rear turn signals
3 tickets for no inspection (since Nov. 01)
2 tickets for no License plate inserts
1 ticket for covering the word "Garden State" with a plate cover
2 tickets for sidemarkers
1 ticket for leds on hood

Yes...that took some mods away from me...each inspection ticket is $125...so thats over $300 right there...each other violation is $44..

Not a very good month...for a week or so I didn't drive the Maxima at all!

Yeah man, just put the orange bulbs in. They may not look as good when lit, but they don't look near as bad as those ghastly orange covers(I still have mine and they suck, my boy has the clears w/ orange bulbs and they look 110% better...and you won't get a ticket).

About the music, if it's too loud, he has to be able to hear it from 50-60~ feet away. If he's right next to you, that should be thrown out of court because it's invalid.

Same goes for hearing your exhaust.

Idiot cops.

yeah, I got pulled over for clears in the tails too, and for my front cornering lights (next to the headlights) being to bright or "glaring". but I opened my trunk and took out the clear bulbs while he was standing there and he let me go free of charge. I think he was just lookin for DUI's

hahah too bad Monster Muscle!!
hahaha

ambers are there to let people know your signaling. if you had clears in there and you get in or cause an accident, after insurnace investigates and finds out you had those then you would be liable. if it looks ugly then too bad deal with it...

If he had the orange bulbs it wouldn't be a problem though right? Set yourself some time move the stereo equipment and no more ticks(just trying to help).

ok, i have the '99 I30t with the stock clears. If you guy's are putting in clear bulbs to eliminate that orange glow you get behind the lense, this is what you do. You get you a new set of Amber bulbs, and a can of High temperature silver spray paint. You spray LIGHT coats of silver paint onto the outside of the amber bulb (I have 2 coats) after a few coats (of course letting it dry in between) you now insert your silver/amber bulb in your clears and see if the orange glow is gone. if so, your clears now look clear in the daytime, yet flash orange. I have had no complaints from friends behind me about my singnals, they are still Bright as Fawk in the daytime and look clear as hell in the day. If you ahve any questions PM me or post here. remember my clear tails are Crystal/Diamond clears also ('99 I30t) and there is NO tint of orange when the bulbs are not on

I think with cleared out tails a red bulb instead of an amber bulb would look great. When I clear my I30 tails I will do that, and I may silver paint them also, so they flash red (legal) but are clear in the daytime. I am going to clear my corners on my I30 as well, and will do the silver paint thing on the front turn signals.

this wasn't my turn signals that i got a ticket for. it was for the corner light on the outside of the tails. when you remove the red corner piece, the white bulb shows. i never said anything about turn signals, but ok.
