Check out this link to a 5th Gen Maxima that has been Turbocharged for over a year! Maybe this is old news to some but I just found this out...There might just be a Supercharger for sale in the near future!

So why is it that we haven't swamped JWT like we do everyone else when we want something to be mass produced and get this turb system made...yes it could be better but at least its a start. With some internals, a slightly bigger turbo with some custom specs and this is an easy 400fwhp with prob over 300fwtq.?.?.?

JWT never went into production and I'm not exactly sure why.

Maybe cause we didn't hammer them with email, phonecalls, letters to make them. But why hasn't someone at least called them to get the specs and see exactly what steps were taken to do it. Im sorry, but Im gonna try to see what info I could get and see if I can turbocharge my max.

Thats fine, maybe some internals, fine tunning, a Haltec E6K, moderate boost, I think it was a good start that could have been improved! Im gonna talk to JWT on Monday and see if we could either get them to try again, or give me the specs that they used and see if it will be more than Im willing to spend.

hell yeah i agree with that! most peeps dont want to take the time to properly set up a engine. most peeps just want plug and play! if u get something going that would definately be a long term project for me in the future after i get this piece of **** tranny issue figured out! if i cant keep my tranny in my car for more than 10k with 230hp to the wheels how that hell can i keep 300+hp any sugestions besides level ten?

will

The number that turbo max put down sucked. Something like 230 at the wheels and 2XX torque.

6.6 TRACTION limited..
Turbo=Up the boost and then see how much power you'll put down.. dont underestimate turbo..

In the article it says something about expecting another 1/2 second off the 1/4 mile time just by getting a better clutch.

Also, JWT modified the ECU!! Even if they don't want to mass produce the turbo, WHY CAN'T THEY GIVE US AN ECU UPGRADE!!!!

What makes the turbo so much better than your supercharger?

I'm just trying to learn something here.

When they put that car together they didn't push it to its limits. Kinda like stillen with the supercharger, with the stock pulley the expected hp/tq is like 245/235 estimated. I think up-ing the boost on a turbo or maybe swapping the turbo all together a manifold(most important) and also instead of using a 95 ecu, use a Haltech to fine tune the fuel, timming ect.. I think it can be a great modification. Yes it sounds like a lot of $$ but let me tell you a SC is not pennies either. I believe that with a 3.0 liter engine and rebuilt internals, and very fine tunning of the ecu I think it could put down some serious power. Maybe im wasting my time, but i still want to do the research. I love my supercharger, but a turbo can produce much more power. I guess we will have to see...
