Y does my car have a messed up idle wtf!!
y does my car idle at 2,000 rpms and sometimes at 1,500???(when i have the clutch down or not in gear etc.) and the rpms sticks/bounches etc. wtf i heard that our car have a idle problem i belive soo wtf!! it mostly happens when i beat on that car. i check the throttle cable it is normal it has some play in it. what could this bee?????
normally i would say idle air control valve, but thats if its too low or ready to stall, the fact that its too high goes to the throttle body, if its dirty the butterfly is sticking, if thats not the case, ur throttle cables are too tight. check ur cruise control one too becuz if that is too tight its the same as your main one being too tight, DO IT
i checked my cables and they have no preesue on them and i clean my throttle body and how do i clean my air control valve???? it revvs to 2,00 and if i turn off my car and turn it back on it got to 1,000 sometimes?????? help

I had similar issues before. I cleaned my throttle body, and it helped a little. But after I cleaned my air filter, which was really dirty, everything was back to normal. So try cleaning or replacing your air filter.
is this a good one for cleaning?????? and anyother tips???

IACV Cleaning
I had similar problems...idle normal at 750rpm but occasionaly it would idle at 1500rpm after coming down from higher rpms.
I could kick the throttle and it would drop down to normal.
This was the case whether or not accessories were on.
I also had uneven acceleration during light loads, but normal WOT.
I removed the center connector to the idle air control valve assy.
The engine ran smooth, idle was stable, and acceleration smooth.
I removed the assembly and removed and disassembled the center section. It is described as a stepper motor...but you can remove the moving parts from the coil so you can clean without getting cleaner on the motor windings. BE CAREFULE NOT TO GET CLEANER ON WIRES. This would eat the varnish and ruin the valve.
ALSO BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET CLEANER ON THE O-RING.
Anyway, you should be able to clean the moving components and valve seat area without damaging the rest of the valve.
This worked for about 2wks, then my idle speed started sticking at 1500rpm again.
I have about 70K on my engine (1996) and I am afraid that the moving parts may tend to worn and then dont move freely...thus resulting in uneven or sticking spool. I have heard that new they are $400 dollars.
I am about ready to disconnect mine and run that way for awhile.
ANYONE KNOW IF THERE ARE RELIABILITY CONCERNS WITH RUNNING WITHOUT THE IACV. I reallize there could be preformance issues with the engine dying when coming down to idle...but there are solenoid valves to make up for power steering and AC loads. There never used to be IACVs so I am guessing its more an emissions component than function.

The K&N cleaner kits come with a cleaner, and a filter liquid which needs to be applied before installing.
