Questions about alpine HU

I have to questions regarding my Alpine 7893 HU, both answers i couldnt find in the manual, so you dont have to suggest checking the manual. First, how do you get it to scroll the ID3 tags on songs, i put scroll mode on auto, and made sure the id3 tag was on the mp3 before i converted it to WAV form, but it still displays Track 1 and so on. Second, how do you get to the subwoofer phase selector mode? This mode allows you to select between normal and reverse mode, but i have no idea how to get to the control for phase selections. Thanks alot guys.

I think if it's displaying Track 1, that you're just not inputting the tags/info correctly in the CD burning process. I've never messed with it on the CD burning side (my CDRW doesn't even really work), but if it detects no text, it will display "--------" on mine, and "No Text" as the CD Title.

The subwoofer phase selection on my deck is found in the A.Proc settings (holding down the A.Proc button for a few seconds). I'd imagine it's pretty similar for the newer models.

If you are burning them correctly.. On my Alpine 7894 I have to hold down TITLE button.. for the different scroll modes...

I don't think the MP3 ID tags auto convert to cd text when burning though..

Re: Questions about alpine HU

In order for you to get the title onto the CD, you first need a CD Burner that is CD-Text capabale. Second, you need software that can write CD-Text, like Nero or Feurio. Not sure if your version of Rxio supports CD-Text, check the manual or the help file. The final thing you need is to enable CD-Text burning and type in the song title. When you convert the MP3 to WAV, you lose any ID3 tag info because ID3 is something only included with MP3 files. If your software supports CD-Text it will let you type in the title/artist info, but you have to do it manually if you convert the MP3 to WAV (outside of the CD burning program.)
