I really need some help my tranny has more problems than posted in my previous post, i am going to try and describe the problem better now, first i have a 93 gxe auto, when i put the car in reverse everything seems normal noises etc, but there is no reverse the car will just rev and roll as if it is in nuetral, fourth gear is the same way anytime my car reaches fourth gear it is as if it were going into nuetral, my car refuses to shift out of first, even when accelerating extremely slowly rpms continue to climb past redline unless i completly take my foot of for a second then it drives normal. I'm not willing to spend more than $1500 total in repair if more than that i will just save towards a 240sx with an sr swap.

 

check your trans fluid. wiggle the shifter,either your trans is bad or the bushing on the shifter is worn. My bet is the trans going bad.

 

I say dying trans....

 

looks like your 4th gear is gone and your 1st is close to being gone.
I had the same happen to mine - most probably a bad tranny, I'd start searching right now for a good place to tow it ...
