Group Deal on Grille-Tech for 89-94, and 2K - 2K3 !

This link will show you what it looks like on 89-94

Maxima's and the 2K - 2K1 .

The deal is as follows. You get your Grille, in a choice of Silver, or Black . The price will be $49.00 , Shipping Included !

Oredering Information is as follows:

Paypal orders, please forward your payment to :
gb@grille-tech.com

Or mail your Money Order, or Cashier's Check payments to :
Chris Driver
P.O. Box 187
Gladys, VA 24554

I am not a member of or affiliated with Grille-Tech. I have volunteered to help you guys get a good deal on the product, which I bought and paid for, and was satisfied with ! I worked a deal out , to share with you guys. If you have any questions about the product, I have volunteered to answer them myself. You can send me a Private Message, and I will answer anything I can . I know a lot of guys think this is some cheap Home Depot gutter guard. It's not. That is a great price but be aware of their poor shipping methods. We are discontinuing to carry their grilles because 90% of the grilles were returned to use because customers were very disappointed with the quality or they got damaged during shipping. I contacted them and expressed my disatisfaction with the quality and requested them to be packaged better. They offered no help and basically stated "take it or leave it". We have two grilles left in stock and after they are gone will no longer sell them. I hope that this group deal works out for you all and you are not disappointed. Not trying to flame it just offering my helpful information.

So I guess the question is

how's their customer service? If you get a damaged product, do they accept returns? If so, will they charge you for the return shipping?

But good work though Kloogy.

I have personal experience here with this. I ordered a grill last week and it got here on Monday - it was beat up - but in their defense, it was by the post office. I understand custommaxima.com's point about their packaging, but in my opionion it would have been fine under normal circumstances - but it wasn't packaged to be bent, ripped, etc. I know that it is a possiblity because people don't care about what is in the box (see the post about the fedex wheel), but I receive a lot of things mail order in more fragile packaging and it arrives fine. You can't plan for every possiblity. It was in a sturdy cardboard triangle box that would be similar to how posters are shipped in cardboard tubes. It was clear that it had been beat up in shipping as the post office had stamped on the box "Damaged in Shipment".

I contacted Chris (the guy running the group deal) and he was more than accommodating. He said he was sorry for the trouble and that it was unfortunate. He told me that I could simply seal the triangle box back up and put 'Return To Sender' on it and he would get it back at no charge to me. But - and here's where I think the good customer service comes in - he said, if the PO didn't accept that, I should include how much I was charged for shipping and they would reimburse me. I did take it to my post office, I told them that I got this damaged, that I opened it to see if my product was damaged, it was and I wanted to return it. The post office took it no problem without a charge and Chris said when they get my damaged one, they will ship me a new one. I have spoken to Chris about other grilles and he has been nothing but helpful. While it is a risk with any thing you receive through the mail (again see the fedex wheel post), as Triple8Sol pointed out, the key is the customer service on the flip side and in my experience with that process, it has been great.

This is a great price by the way.

I have one thing to say about this. Were they damaged when YOU shipped them to the customers, or did they arrive damaged to YOU. That is a very critical part of the debate. I contract for FEDEX Ground. If you do not insure a shipment, or you cut corners to save money, by not properly packaging an item, you will get burnt. If Greg, or Grille Tech ship something out in MINT condition, and either UPS, the USPS, or FEDEX , damage it, its not Greg's fault, or Grille Tech, or whom ever the shipper is. I had a good experience with these folks, and they have GUARANTEED me that they will back any order made by ORG members. I would not put an effort to get you guys a good deal, on something that was not good. I hope you guys take advantage of it, because compared to their website prices, it's a GREAT DEAL !

All packages that leave our warehouse are fully insured. I am not disputing that this a good price, I simply stated that we received many complaints from customers that were disappointed with the grilles. Some complaints were because it arrived damaged and some complaints were due to the poor quality of them. This post is not to flame Grille-Tech nor persuade anyone against this group deal. My main problem with Grille-Tech is their unwillingness to offer any assistance. We placed a generous buy in order of over 30 grilles and expected to have them individually packaged in a sturday box with packaging material. They came from Grille-Tech sandwiched in two thin pieces of cardboard. We took their assurance that it is sufficient packaging and shipped them off. After they were damaged and a insurance claim was issued UPS declined us reimbursement due to "insufficient packaging" So now we are left with lots of bent grilles that were simply thrown in the garbage. Shipping damage put aside the grilles look pretty nice when they are installed, most customers complained that they were "cheaply made" but in my opinion they are not that bad. It is to bad that they were unwilling to provide any assistance to us, we could have done lots of business together. If you ever seen the Trenz grilles, they are wrapped in LOTS AND LOTS of padding and have never gotten damaged in shipping. We are currently talking to a few companies having another grille designed for the 3rd gen guys along with the Trenz grille that will be out soon for the 3rd gen.

Yes it is. That way if you get tired of it, or just want a change, you can cut them off, and your back to stock...

I ordered last night and I just spoke with Chris at Grille-Tech to ask about shipping, guarantee's, etc.
Nice guy! He confirmed what Kloogy said about if there is any problem, they will replace it, and he explained a little about the frustrations Greg was having with the packaging.
Bottom line is Mail (Maul?) services suck and it does happen sometimes, but they will cover it if anyine has an incident. I feel confident in it.
He also said if a 2K2 owner wants to be the testbed and they live nearby, Chris is wanting to come out with the top grill as well.

Thanks for setting this up, Kloogy. I'm still glad Greg has the Maximastore though. Generally, one stop shopping (with a conscience). He was just keeping our eyes open for the possibilities.

I ordered my from them on Ebay and this GD price is still a better price. The item arrived in PERFECT condition and I love it everyday I see it. It is a high quality product with great fitment and easy installation. Does it get much better than that? If you do not have one, don't wait, get one! I have 1 pic on my homepage, but I have a LOT more if you would like one. Forget about Custommaxima's claims! Kloogy, I and others have all had positive experiences. I love the product and I would buy it again in a heart beat. Feel free to email with any questions.

Greg had his comments, but he never disputed the quality of the product. He even said he is reffering people to this thread.

Got mine ...

Got mine Friday and installed it that night. It was in perfect condition altough I can see how if the triangle tube is handled roughly, they couuld get bent. Mine fit fine and I istalled it with the zip tie on the inside of the grill. Thought I was going to lose an arm reaching down behind the grill. Probably a bett way (like taking off the underpinning shroud) but it's done with no visible sign of attachment. Whatta difference it makes in the overall effect of the front of the Maxima. Not as severe a change as a new lip but definitely looks more tight and somewhat aggressive. Pics as soon as I wash it. Thanks Kloogy!
Chris at Grill-Tech was great to work with.

Yes it does install over the top of the grille, not cutting required. That way you can remove it if you want, and still have the stock one underneath. Sorry. Thats the only photo I have of a 3rd gen.

Any 3rd gen that have it, Email me a picture or 2 ! I can post these for other users !

Kloogy, I heard that Grille-Tech is going to make one for the 02-03 main grille. If that's true, any word on when we might be seeing it? And will it match the lower valence grille exactly? I'm waiting on that, so I can make sure it all matches, and then I'll probably pick them all up at once.
