1,000 mile service necessary?

I've heard of people taking their car in for a 1,000 mile service. I just recently hit 1000 miles on my 2k2, just wondering if I should take it in, or wait until the Nissan recommended 7,500 miles? Also, I've had the doors intermittently lock problem. Do I need a copy of the TSB? Or do I just ask them to do it? I can't find an actual copy of it, only this "01-025 JAN 02 Power Door Locks - Intermittently Lock By Themselves" from alldata.com

no need for 1000 mile service. unless...your dealer is a b!tch and acutllay blame on lack on maintanance for your warped rotors (just an example)

ur car is still under full warranty...just go in and tell them the problem. since it is a warranty work, there will be an evaluation for the ser rep. tell them that you will give them all excellent and will they do a 27 pt inspection.

I just got the 1000mi. service done last week. Didn't seem like they did much, just did an 27 point inspection of the car, made sure everything was fine. It only took the dealer about 30mins, and it was free, so what the hell..got it done.
