yea i was there on a decent weather day he would have put donw a 15.7. the reason i say this is because a couple regular guys at the track said they were 2 to 3 tenths off there regular times and my best was 14.90 @ 92.49. so i was 2 to 3 tenths off my times also o well i guess thats what to expect with 95+ and over 90% humidity

i'd say the humidity caused a lot of torque loss and top end so wait till the weather cools off and you will see a difference in trap and et

Yeah...strange... My worst run in my 2K2 stock Max GXE automatic was my 1st drag race ever and 1st run of the day. Running OVER the water box didn't help either. It looked like this:
R/T 0.955
60' 2.771
330 7.309
1/8 10.819
MPH 71.30
1000 0.000 (that's what it says
1/4 16.279
MPH 91.37

I later raced a weak 4 cylinder (probably) newish Accord and his 1/4 mile was 18.167 @ 78.54 vs my 15.468 @ 92.36.

yeah what's up with your trap speed... with a 71mph 1/8th trap, your 1/4 trap should be about 88-90mph. something's wrong.. did you let off the gas? if not, something else happend.

I once shut the lights down with a 16.7 @ 54mph with a 1.7 60ft. I never found 3rd gear and coasted from the 1/8 mile on in my miata once.

Come to think of it, i might have stuck it in 5th and just cruised in.
