we plan on racing and i know the easiest answer is to race and find results but this is biggest race of my life, well really the first REAL race of my life and just wanted an input on results. I did proper research and these are how cars go:

95 Max GLE (me)
stock 2000 rims
PR CAI w/ K&N filter
Warspeed y-pipe
(other mods that have nothing to do with power)

93 BMW 325 or 328
17" chrome rims
something under hood he scared to show me (intake at best)

95 Ford Thunderbird (V8 ENGINE)
Straight stock with 17" chrome rims

91 Lexus LS 250 (i believe)
stock

the lexus is easy, and so is the BMW but the thunderbird is scaring me...i did research and the hp for a 92 is like 240 something (sports coupe)but weighs like 300 to 500 pounds more than me. So i wonder how the 95 is.....

what you guys think my chances are and do u believe the thunderbird is my greatest fear or am i smooth sailing?

how close are you to 5 spd conversion? i really respect that choice...it's gonna be funny though if you ever sell after it's converted cuz no one will believe it's gle if it's 5sp, or will they?
anyways, those ugly thunderbirds can be pretty quick. i've heard mixed results. i think they run 15.2 1/4's...so it might have you by a lil bit...i think it all depends on the driver really....how's your car doing since you flipped it? all fixed up nice?

 

man i've been planning on doing this conversion for months and it is finally going to happen this weekend....HOPEFULLY...but i got extra mods and i SHOULD be running high 14's now, especially when the stick comes in.

i never expect to sell this car and even if i do i would rather classify it as a SE because i have too many mods pointing to SE from fog lights, to spoiler to stick soon to the white gauges (indiglo)...only thing left to keep it a GLE is the chrome door handles...lol
