I WANT VE 5 Speed

Ok I want a VE 5Speed. I want one perferably with most of the options, it must be a 5spd, interior, engine, and exterior need to be in relatively good shape (not looking for a mint car or anything).

The reason I want it is because I don't want to drive my boost Maxima everyday. I want to give it a break and turn it into my weekend car (keep it real clean). My seats get dirty too fast, I go through expensive tires too fast, etc.

I just want an everyday driver that I will probably leave stock, or maybe put shocks, springs, and sways in (no intake = too loud). I want it to be a comfy cruiser that has some get up and go.

What are some things I should look for on these higher mileage cars, what should I expect to pay? I'm in central Texas, and a lot of the Dallas guys say you can find nice ones in Dallas for like $3K.

Ok guys, thanks!

Also, you obviously know what I'm looking for in a second car, if you guys know of any other cars that are screaming good deals like the VE 5 Spd, please voice your opinion; and nothing like Eclipse built to the max, or turbo GSR. I want it to be a nice car that I can drive grown adults in and not have them complain, a car that won't get me hasseled by local law enforcement, etc.

Thanks!

you are going to end up paying around 4-5k, cant find em much cheaper than that in texas, if you can find em at all. most of em are in good condition though.

go to www.autotrader.com and use the advanced search so that you can specify transmission type. Last time I looked, there was a good looking tan and a burgundy one. Both of them had a little bit over 100k. Happy Hunting!

VE 5 speed without clicking... Ahhhhh

I got mine for around $4000, and that was with high mileage (150,000). But as long as it runs well and is in good condition a high mileage VE shouldn't be too much of a problem. Good luck in your search.

car is defiantely for sale so someone take it off my hands!!!

ALright I hate to say t, but I am sick of my car and tinkering around with it, I know I have said this before, but this time I am for real. I have a 92 VE 5-speed that just simply has lost its luster to me! I need to replace the front bumper cover first before selling it as I dammaged it in installing my BMW E36 headlights, but my loss is your gain. see my website for a phote of it minus the BMW headligts that I just installed. This will include the system and everything, I just want out of debt and want to get a simple car for right now as I am PO... not to be confused with POOR, I am too dizzam PO to afford the extra OR and cannot waste the time on the car and money to get the turbo project done since I still owe nearly 4k on it. all I need is around $4750 since the car has VTC ticking.

Call me for more info at (859) 224-9551. Also have a 92 SE auto VE30DE parts car that will beincluded if you want it for a lil extra so I can get back the costs of the purcase of it!

Well sorry to say hopefully by then I will not have the car! (Here's Hoping)!

I need to get out of debt and this is the only debt looming over my head so I am eradicating it by selling the car and getting something simple like an old 88 jetta or VW Bug that is for sale down the street until I can save up enough to do things right with my next car and not **** around on it for years and years.

Thanks for the response though!

Alright Brian now we are talking. Are you still drooling over the drive in the VE 5 speed??? J/P Great choice to just keep it stock with some comfy suspension with the independent suspension you will get a smooth ride. I hope you can find one, I will keep my eyes open for you.

I would not specify tranny type because you will only get the ones that specified it that way when they entered it. I would suggest that you leave that blank, and just search 92-94 and read the descriptions, and call those thast don't specify.

I didn't mean to get people's hopes up, I'm not in the position to buy the car for AT LEAST one month. I just wanted to figure out what you guys think I should check into when buying this car, etc.

I will definately post on the org to look for a 5speed when I'm ready, and whoever is on the board selling one may luck out. I wouldn't mind buying a mod'd one, but nothing crazy.

I think if I bought one I would end up putting sway bars, strut bars, struts, and springs on it and some 4th or 5th gen rims on it. That's it, no real need for intake, exhaust, etc. The way I see it is, why make your car 10 times louder to make it 1% faster?
