some guy at work (little older, around mid 50's) talks so much **** about my maxima its not even funny....i get things like "The Brady mobile", the family van, etc.....he says how my car bogs off the line (i full throttled off the line and didnt catch it good, also with bad knock, clogged fuel filter, and dirty TB).....then my friend gets his teg, and he is talkin all this about oh look at that 2 door sports coupe, and look it even has a wing.....im thinking he's a ricer, but he was back into the hot rod days, and ricers werent really invented until recently so i guess its fine, but whatever....so he's talkin all this oh he has a 5spd 2 door fast car bla bla bla ....im like sure man whatever.....so we gtech our cars, and he averages about a 16.6, with his best, a 16.4, and i average a 15.3 with my best being a 15.1....i tell em what about this, and he is like....pfft no way...that thing is wrong....im like i ran it 6 times, i dont think its wrong EVERY single time....and then he was like, well, you dont beat him by that much...only like a car length...im like dude, my AVERAGE time beats his best by a full second...your tellign me a second is a car length.....long story short, i love the your family sedan mobile is slow, bla bla bla...have a nice day

 

seriously. all these ricers talking about our family sedans. i'm like what the hell do you think an accord or a civic is? it sure ain't a sports car.

oh well. let ricers be ricers. you know there's nothin really you can say to convince them. just let them have a look at your a$$ when you see them pull up next to you at a light.

yep, i get the same "four door family sedan" bs from a lot of people as well. my buddy used to be the worst, until i showed his 92' camaro RS the tail lights of my car in 2 different races. he doesnt talk sh*t anymore

 

there is this car store not to far from my house i've gone to a couple of times and they always make fun of maximas..."maximas are only fast when they're supercharged, other than that they suck"...and apparently one of the guys who drives a vw bug wanted to race me to show everyone how maximas suck. i did hear though his bug is suprisingly quick, i dunno what he did to it though...so yeah that store sux and i don't bother going in there much anymore. anyone from mass with a quick max want to embarrass them for me?

 

Thats right! You show them whos boss. I wouldn't race a corvette or anything but handle your business.

 

My mom drives a 95 Accord EX. I drive a 95 Maxima GXE. I liked the Honda until I got my car, and I like it even less now that my dad has a 2000 Outback wagon.. Now I think all Hondas are crap, at least the ones that are a generation old. When I park my car next to my mom's, it looks monstrous! The top of the hood is a few inches higher and my car has almost double the ground clearance. Our cars may not be the best thing out there but at least they don't look and feel like go-karts!
