Fuel pressure isn't bumping up
 

I finished my install today and got my bottle filled. I got everything hooked up like it should be, so I decided to test to see if the fuel pressure bumped up. I opened the bottle and the line pressurised; the bottle pressure guage reads 750psi. I disconnected the second solenoid so that only the fuel pressure would rise, but nothing happened. I heard the solenoid and relay click, but the fuel pressure stayed the same :gotme:

Next I hooked up both solenoids to make sure things were ok. With both solenoids activated nitrous sprayed out of the line (which I was holding). So, both solenoids do work, but for some reason something isn't right with the nitrous pressure regulator or something. I had a .042 bypass jet in, and the vacuum lines are attached like the NOS instructions. Any ideas :confused: ?

Double check your lines. Did you install a T-fitting in your vaccum line to the stock FPR? Make sure everything is correct with that. You should also check and make sure the bypass regulator (not sure what it's really called, its the blue anodized thingy) is not loose. You have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up as well right? (just checking)

Originally I did have a T fitting to the stock FPR for my VI, but I moved that. Now my VI gets vacuum elsewhere so there wouldn't be any problems with the nitrous.

Also, I adjusted my FPSS down so that it would always activate (I checked with a test light), so that's not the problem. I can also ground the circuit and activate the WOT switch manually while I'm under the hood, but nothing seems to happen besides the solenoid and relay clicking. My solenoids and NPR seem to be tight, and aren't leaking. Should anything come out of the NPR (i.e. nitrous), or should I feel a pressure increase out of it?

Yep, I have a fuel pressure gauge. At idle it reads about ~35, and WOT about 43 like its supposed to. Using my vacuum gauge I get 21 in. Hg., so there doesn't seem to be a leak either.

I really feel like I understand how everything works except for the NPR, so I'm not really sure what else to check. :confused:

Problem solved: I had the wrong solenoid activating :bonk: Last night I tested them and even blew through the connectors to make sure I got it right (and I still didn't!). I'm swapping plugs tomorrow so hopefully I can make my first run then as well :)
