Straight Sunoco 104 or VP Fuels Street Blaze 103. Either one will help prevent preignition and detonation with heavy shots of nitrous. Cut back the ground straps on your copper-center NGK two-heat-range-colder plugs and side-gap them to .035,

I've been running a dual-stage of 150-shot all last season. This combination keeps my engine alive, regardless of what stupid things I do at the strip...

Note the PB time slip in my sig.

93 on the road and 110 at the track

I ran Sunoco 116 with my 50 shot to get my best time 2 years ago

Add some Toluene, it helps boost octane.

How much and where do I get these insane octane race fuels, do I have to empty my tank entirely and what if i run stock emissions; cat and that

In Cleveland you should be able to find a few shops that have Sunoco or VP Racing fuels - call around, check the yellow pages. Anything higher than 103-104 octane is very likely to be leaded gas. Don't do that to your oxygen sensors. Both companies have specs on the Internet - study them - Google around.. Drag strips usually sell Sunoco fuel, also.

You need the proper container to buy some. Usually they'll sell you 5-gal plastic jugs for race fuel, or 5-gallon cans are acceptable. These race fuels aren't gasoline, and the stuff can wreck lawnmower-gas plastic jugs. Do it right. When you spill some on concrete, it evaporates almost immediately !

You can mix with conventional gas, but the effect can be unpredictable. I would never mix real race fuel with conventional gasoline at under a 10:1 ratio. Run your tank nearly dry of pump gas and put at least 5 gallons of race fuel in the tank. The stuff sells for 8-9 dollars/gallon around here, so be prepared.

Don't bother with octane boosters or xylene or tolulene - they don't have the additives that race fuels have to prevent preignition or detonation. Used correctly, along with copper-cored NGK plugs two ranges colder and cut-back ground straps, you should be much safer on the track.
