Nos jet sizes.
Hey guys,
I have a wet setup just waiting to go in my car. The only thing I need are the little jets for the fuel and nitrous. Can someone tell me what size I should be using on my 00 for a 50 and 75 shot? I have used the online calculators and gotten slightly different combos, so I figured I'd ask what you guys are using. DF |
call who ever made the kit.
|
If NOS made the kit, look on their website or call them for the recommended jets. It's different for every kit.
|
Thanks guys, I didn't even think to call them.:gapteeth:

41-N
26-F = 75 HP FOR NOS SET UP |
thats wrong
nos wet 75 hp jets n2o - 36 fuel - 24 |
nx was 41/24 for a 75.

dude you are out of your mind every time i've ever called them to find out his very information they have always said 24 and 36 so I dont know what you are talking about
|
Ok guys, calm down.
Just gave that number a call (sorry I haven't checked on this thread in DEEP). 50shot: 30N 22F 75shot: 36N 24F Told him it was a 3.0 v6 with 43psi for fuel pressure. DF |
d@mn I'm good

lmfao..thats funny.

Just a couple of comments on nitrous jetting.... for one, NOS-format and NX-format jets are mechanically different, and not interchangeable on most nozzles. Second: the advertised shot levels are sometimes referring to crank HP or to wheel HP ( WHP), depending on vendor. These two things can cause different jet sizes to be listed for a given shot-level. For me, the 41N/24F jet combo gives an actual 75 WHP on a dyno. Smaller jet combinations will not make 75 WHP.
I have a lot of NX experience over the years, including chassis dynos, and I have always found the NX jetting to be correct on the dyno, for actual WHP. I have never used the NOS jetting charts - better the devil you know, right? I have used the NX jetting sizes in NOS-format nozzles and the WHP matches the NX charts, which makes sense because the hole in the jet is supposed to be the same size in any jet. NX web site jets for import EFI engines: http://www.nitrousexpress.com/oldweb...tcompact09.pdf Hope this info is helpful.... |
I'm runnin NX kit and using a 41N and 33fuel jets cause i was show little detonation with 24f jet.
I'm still experienceing with it all but i read on a 350z fourm NX jet was 48N and 28F for 75 shot and when i ran that combo **** hit HARDD then i found MY nx chart paper n said 75 was 41n 24f..so why does different ppl have different jetting charts for same kit? |

Other vendors may have different jet recommendiations, but you never know why - maybe it's for crank HP, like NOS used to do, or they tested on just a lame engine or fuel pressure was wacko. |
Safer to be rich then lean correct? that's really why i put fuel jet up.

Really, if you don't use a good A/F meter and FP gauge, it's much better to stick with the NX jet sizes - and learn to read fresh plugs. A 75-shot doesn't need colder plugs, but it can't hurt. Too rich is just as dangerous as too lean. Here's a really old dyno graph of my previous 3.5 with only S1 cams, headers, and rod bolts, using OEM ECU because the timing is good for nitrous at WOT. Not advanced for better NA numbers, since I don't care about NA WHP. All jetting was NX standard specs, and I used two Shark nozzles just before the TB. Dyno HP increases were very close to the advertised NX WHP, as you can see. Attachment 30832 |
Nice. well when i use 75shot it honestly is pretty weak feeling but maybe cause my fuel jets too much? 41n 33F...when i ran a 46N 28F it was makin some solid power then felt NICE but guy at performance shop said my plugs were Great jus had tad bit of detonation and to up fuel jet to 30 but all i had was a 33f jet.
should i not be sprayin above a 75 with the stock restricted y pipe n exhaust @ 214k miles? maybe that's why my 75shot feels like a 40shot? also my timing is advanced 2degree but guy told me that don't effect our timing curve at wot only base timing so idk if i should retard it or jus go bac to stock 15. |

Yeah haven't sprayed since been babying her until i get a wideband and dyno tune. not worth guess work!
Thanks for info bro. |

Thanks for info bro. |
Tune by tape? no guy i been tuning by reading spark plugs.
So the 17degree timing is base timing meaning after 2k rpm I'm still in a stock timing curve correct? how do we retard the timing curve? and wouldn't our knock sensor pickup detonation and automaticly retard timing while sprayin? |
Here's some good info so i guess next time i spray ill disconect my knock sensor and see how it does.
