FS: Brand new TurboXS UTEC for 02-06 350Z. Can be wired to 5.5-6 gen ECU's

Just bought this brand new from vividracing for 800+shipping with intentions of wiring it up to my 5.5 gen for tuning. I've decided to go with a different setup so here I am selling it at a loss. It's still brand new in the box, never been used at all. It comes with all the wiring and software needed to get it going.

To install this on a 5.5 or 6th gen ECU you just download the FSM for the 03-04 350z and the FSM for your car, then modify the pinouts on the UTEC to go to the correct pins on your ECU.

I'm looking for 650 + shipping and I'm not currently accepting paypal due to some issues I've had with transaction reversals and E-checks when being paid by paypal. I'll accept money orders, cashier's checks, or cash if local pickup. This price is firm as I paid 850 for it with tax and shipping and I'm already taking a big loss.

how much shipping would cost to South Florida ?

I thought the maximas had a totally diff connector? ie.. gray. So wouldn't the conversion entail getting another maxima connector and hacking/splicing the UTEC in?

Instead of hacking/splicing, to preserve the integrity of the original unit, you would simply use some wires/connectors to hook up pin to pin. Jime has it done on his car and it just took a while to get setup.

Shipping shouldn't be more than 20 bucks for insured ground mail to south florida.

I'm a noobie at this. Have a pic of this? I don't see how cutting is being avoided here.

There are a few ways to do it. One is you can actually crimp pin connectors to the wires and stick them in the pin holes on the female side, then use the male versions of the pin connectors for the male side.

The other way is more ghetto but still works fine, and that is to stick the wire straight into the pin hole on the female side, and use a tiny spec of solder to connect to the male side.

I guess if it's just your thing, you can chop them up, but that would be VERY stupid IMO.

bump, still for sale...

I hope someone buys it before I get bored enough to just hook it up and run 2 tuning devices

I'm gonna ask my buddy with a G if he wants it.

What are you replacing it with? EU?

sparks03max Apr 11, 2008 10:26 PM

Going with a L-spec reflash and keep my VAFC for now.

sparks03max Apr 11, 2008 10:31 PM

Also, I'm willing to do trades on this for aftermarket wheels as long as they are to my liking :D

Mainly looking for 17" below 20lbs and not black.

Still have it and have managed to resist hooking it up for now. Anybody interested?

I know this is a real noob question but, what does this do? And what does "UTEC" stand for?

sparks03max Apr 19, 2008 08:47 AM

Don't feel like spoonfeeding today, I suppose you figured we'd rather type it all out for you than let you go type turboxs UTEC in google?

sparks03max Apr 19, 2008 06:43 PM

OK I spent few hours today cross referencing ECU pinouts and wiring/labeling... this UTEC is now 100% ready and labeled to be easily hooked up to a maxima ECU. All necessary wires to control timing, rev limit, and A/F are now extended and labeled so that all you gotta do is splice them into your wiring harness and go for it. I've also uploaded the basic 350z maps into the UTEC so it'll be as close to plug and play as possible.
