Just fyi, I knocked off .5 seconds from my 0-60 time with ported exhaust manifolds + gutted cats + o2 spacers alone... IMO the stock manifolds off of an 03 are better than aftermarket headers... and still gives you PLENTY of low end power for maximum driveability. Sale preference will be given to someone who is interested in the manifolds ported and/or cats gutted.

Interested in the muffler (G35).... Was this muffler fitted onto an 03 Maxima? I'm wondering about how the muffler would fit on an 00 GXE.

 

I went a different direction with my muffler so this was never modified to fit my 03. It can be easily welded onto pipe to fit an axle-back section or full catback exhaust system at basically any exhaust shop. Honestly, the only trouble you will have is welding on new hangers to accommodate mounting onto your 00 max, which is a minor inconvenience. In my opinion, this is the absolute best 2.5" muffler you can buy. It will keep sound levels moderately aggressive while giving full performance of an aftermarket muffler. It has a similar variable capacity design to the maxima which only opens both exhaust tips once a certain pressure is reached which will keep your low end power and really open up the mid-range and top end for you at the same time. Let me know what you think and if you have any more questions. Hopefully that answers your questions. Here is another pic from underneath, as you can see, this muffler is in excellent shape.

 

Fresh week bump...

This is a video of the after product of my ported manifolds/gutted cats combo as some food for thought. This will fit any 02-03 max and I could also include my special edition y-pipe (which will allow fitment to an 00-01 Cali Spec).

This combo will be better than any headers out there. I'd prefer local pick up for the manifolds/cats/y-pipe.
