Moving on with the interior swap, looking for ideas

Since I'm having trouble finding the direct swap seats that I want in the local yard, I'm looking at other options. For those of you who chucked the oem ones, what did you go with? Did you stay with max/infiniti, try another Nissan model's seats, or go with something else?

If u can find leather rear seats from an 95-99 infinity, swap em out to the Maxima. Why? because the infinity has de-attachable headrests and the Maxima does not. The Maxima rear headrests usually crack/tear badly on the top and get really nasty after a while. Something small but easy.

The maxima does have detachable headrests. The difference is the i30 leather is perforated (tiny holes for the leather to breath) and the headrest recline foward or move back and forth . And rear seats have headrest. All the Seats and componets of the seat are interchangeable.

@JoshG - I actually did pick up the rears today. I still would prefer black cloth over leather, but it's an improvement. I would have grabbed the fronts if the backs of them weren't blown out.

I was actually considering putting in 06 Altima seats, or even the ones off the 03 Sentra I found.

They are not a direct fit, the rails would need customizing but doable. 97-99 SE specifally cloth are pretty comfy.

I'm OK with modifying the rails. I have a 97 SE, but the seats are becoming very uncomfortable for me. I drive a lot, and lower back pain is an issue.

My backs are blown out. Trim clips are gone from the seat-back - their mounting tabs are gone as well. Thinking of how to repair it.

Need a sportier seat?

I'm just looking for something less rigid, more comfortable. It can be sporty, I don't care, just as long as I can drive the long hours that I do without needing to pop 1500mg of ibuprofen when I get home at night lol

I know that if I choose to go with Spec-V or SER seats, I'll need to swap the rails as well. Not a biggie. My main concern is getting the existing ones out. The driver's side will be more of a pain, as the bolts are pretty rusted.

While I'm waiting for the snow to melt so that I can hit up the yard for front seats, I'm doing few minor aesthetic modifications. Here's the result of today's play time:

Now she's got new cluster leds, new gauge faces and swapped needles.

Ive had Altima clothes, I prefer them over the o.e.m leathers... however, I'm in love with my current leather S.E.Rs. unfortunately, my cars dirty as hell so I don't dare post a pic. However I can if needed. There's are by far the best fitting seats I've had in the 4th. The mounts are easy to fab up once you've got them in place, it's pretty self explanatory on what needs to be done. Easy as pie. I've made a few sets. Good luck.

I can hook you up with a set of front and rear seats from my '98 Maxima GXE. They are blue, and very comfortable. They are located in Northville, NY 12134 which is about 100 miles from your location. They are in Excellent condition - trust me. I replaced them with leather, and the cloth seats are perfect, and comfortable.
