Anybody mod their front Nissan Emblem?

Hi all, just got my 2016 Maxima and I realized how damn big the front emblem is. I don't know how to feel about it. Is there something I can do, besides paint it black to change it or replace it with something else? Just curious if anyone has done such a thing yet. Thanks everybody.

If you remove it, you will see the Nissan hamburger outline and may not be a good idea. Plus also, the trims that have the front camera may have a problem with this as that is where they are mounted.

Nice! Mine arrives back along with my rear trunk finisher piece this Friday. It will match my CF dipped front splitter and rear diffuser.

Emblem

I've only had my Platinum, Pearl white for 2 week and said the same thing about the emblem every time I wash the car.. I think painting it is the way to go.

Can you provide a link to where these are? I'm thinking about getting the pearl blue color to match my Maxima.

Painting it would be the easier solution, but I think I'm going to go ahead and remove the entire center portion and custom make a replacement grill. I'll keep everybody updated on this project. I guess first thing is to figure out is how to remove the grill first.

I'm assuming you don't have a version of the Maxima that has a sensor/camera (I forget which) that is inside the lower half of the front hamburger and looks out through the lower half of the emblem?

Actually I do have the around view monitor. Part of the issue I anticipate I'll have. I will try to figur somethings out this weekend.

I wish you good luck. I'm sure there will be others here that are very interested in what you find. Thanks for the quick response.

I used plastidip on the front. I've had good success with it on other vehicles and i like the flat/gloss black contrast here.
Would like to find a grill with no emblem thought, just the factory mesh.

Had mine Carbon Fiber dipped as mentioned above. Did not like it all that much without NISSAN being distinguished somewhat as it just looked like one big blob. So I had vinyl letters added in silver to match car. Much better IMO!

Does the emblem just snap right out of the grill? How does it come off?

Not gonna lie, I really prefer the dipped look to the glossy on the V and the logo. Did you just mask and spray or did you take anything off?

Where did you get the vinyl letters? I’m actually getting the chrome trim except the windows dipped right now and the front logo is getting blacked out but I wanted the letters to be red...

Thinking about plastidipping the front of mine. How hard was it to do as far as taping everything off, etc?
