Anyone running 245/45/18 lowered?

Just bought some 245/45/18 after alot of browsing forums. I'm dropped on ksports and will be putting these on g35 coupe wheels. Anyone running anything similar have any problems with rubbing or anything?

I did for a while. IIRC it took 7mm spacers to keep from rubbing the inside front wheel week on sharp parking turns. It wasn't bad just something I avoided until I could get spacers.

Nice man, thanks for the reply. I almost wanna return them but we will see. I'm looking for max comfort. Do you happen to have any pics of that setup you are talking about?

It was just some universal spacers that I bought at AutoZone.

I'm sure the 245/45 18s were on it when I made this picture. Once I dropped the tire size to one that had the same outer diameter as the original tires, the rubbing problem went away.

Rims and rubber bands! But Damn that looks sharp!

A32..... What are you doing with those SE rims? Are they in nice shape and no bends? And where are you?

The other coast! Damn Curbs! LOL

Good luck! Go with whatever gives you an accurate speed and mileage!

Post pictures of Bigfoot standing next to your 99 SE-L (I have one in sterling mist too)

Nice, I just picked up this car last year from a chick in Oregon. Didn't see any bigfoots on the way lol. I had green 96 with brown leather before but I love this one, probably just cuz of the black leather and Sterling Mist.

I'm not sure to what dimension(s) your suspension setup has brought you to but my car is lowered ~ 1.5" all around.

I'm currently running 235/45/18s with no clearance issues.

Based on my observations and all the geometry at this ride height, going to a 245 wouldn't be a problem.

Not like the originals. It is a firm responsive ride.

Nice SE-L man, I have about an inch gap from top of tire to outside wheel well in front and about the same as you in the back, basically level.

I guess my only recommendation at this point would be to just try your combo out and see if any changes are needed.

Oh yes you can! You made her take care of her beautiful skin and even though she's "Older" now, she's still a beauty!

Red usually seems to oxidize faster than the other colors IME. This is an exception that you made so.

Just got some 245/40/18's put on and I'm liking it. I had to raise the front about half an inch because it was rubbing on that screw in the fender well with the same drop in 215/55/16

I sometimes think I've pushed it a little with the sidewalls of the 45s as far as harshness. But if yours feels as nice as it looks, that's a win.

You've got those wheels I'm wanting ... bastard.

The ride quality isn't bad at all, obviously potholes and such suck but I try to avoid them. I also have my coilovers 4 clicks away from softest. No complaints here. I definitely am loving these wheels, I resprayed them using duplicolor graphite.

I dont mean to thread jack but why is it that you cant really find anything in the line of springs, over a 2in drop? I would personally like a bit more than what my tokico struts and springs offer.

Coilovers is what'd be be needed but, IMHO unless you're prepared and acceptant, the collateral issues and damage resulting from lowering your car any more than about 1.5" isn't worth it.

Thanks for the info. I am acceptant of the issues awaiting by lowering more than what it already is. I purchased the car about a month ago and it already has the tokico hp kit installed, which i believe is about 2 and 1.?. I cant seem to find much info on the hp kit as everything leads to searches of it being discontinued.
