iphone x text messaging

First off I know you cannot reply to texts on the iphone through the nissan connect system, I previously had an iphone 7 plus and still received the notifications and was able to read them through the display. However just picked up an iphone X and noticed no matter what I do I can't enable text messaging anymore it seems to be completely blocked. Cant even turn it on, so no notifications or anything.

Anyone else with an iPhone X that has working text notifcations in your max?

I believe that ios 11 has a 'do not disturb while driving' feature. Could it be that that is enabled?

I’ve been using my iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 11 and receiving text without any problem, nonetheles when I have “Do not disturb while driving on” I will not receive any text, phone or car, if I disable it the car and the phone will start receiving texts normally

that was the first thing I checked it’s off. Both phones have iOS 11. Pairing the iPhone X complete greys out text messaging option in the car settings . Switch back to the 7 on the same OS it works fine. Annoying. Don’t know what’s up

I think it could actually be a setting in your phone causing the issue. On your iPhone, go to settings, Bluetooth, then click in the 'i' beside MY MAXIMA (under MY DEVICES). Make sure that 'Show Notifications' is turned on. I work at a Nissan dealer and this is usually the fix when our customers come in with issues. Hope this helps!
