Can somebody explain it to me 2018 model

Nissan said for 2018 model “new Carnelian Red color and new black accents added to its dramatic V-motion grille.”

What new black accent added!?

NisCal17 - I think the black accents are referring to changing the big grille 'V' from bright chrome to a blackened/shaded chrome.

I’ll probably do it myself. Once I’ll inspect it live.. seems like black chrome paint needs to be used.

I was talking to a friend he has a paint shop, he can make chrome black by mixing just a little black with clear and spray it on top of chrome.

I wanted it to have some depth to it... I didn't want it to look too bland, or look like everyone else who blacksout their grille. I'm still kicking the idea around about blacking it all out though.

The first 2 pics are wrong.. Now I know what’s the real change and it’s dumb anyway.. 18s hit the lots and I was able to find a few over the internet. See the difference? 18 upper,17 bottom

The top surface of the chrome 'V' is darker on the '18, but I'm not really seeing much else. I guess I consider that to be a slight visual improvement.

I would need to see both up close in good light to have a strong opinion.

I kind of like the extra thick chrome on the 17 better, but I guess a lot of people think otherwise so Nissan wisely chose to deemphasise it. They should have added a hood scoop option this year for the "medallion package". I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone do that mod yet, are they out of style these days?

His car paint color matches that plastic thing so it’s kinda look nice.

But on all other colors this silver plastic part looks improperly especially considering the fact there are no other silver plastic accents found on the exterior of the car.
