To MrBurner...
My subs thump everytime I turn on my Bose radio? I have the Kenwood KSC-BP210 sealed box hooked up to a Kenwood KAC728s amp (RCA converted) I went to several places to try to fix this problem including Kenwood and they all said that there's nothing they can do about it. Are you having this problem as well? Thanks.
what do you mean by thump? is it just when you turn on the radio they make some weird sound and they do this exact thing everytime? i think they said that i now have 3 adapters hooked upto my radio to make it run so well...apparently putting in an aftermarket deck for me won't get the subs any louder (thats what they said) because of the adapters...not sure of all the adapters though...i think one is rca, one is bose and something else...but if your problems is what i described above, make sure all the connections are correct...if so, you might want to look into getting a new amp/sub combo (*cough* amp ppi or fosgate *cough* subs jl audio *cough cough*)
i'd reccomend that if none of this helps, go to a local stereo shop (not best buy, not circut city, not audio express...if you have those) and ask them...by a local stereo shop, i mean a place that has a good rep around town and ONLY does stereos...the adapter might just be hooked up wrong or you might have the wrong adapter
how are the subs working other than the original thump?

The subs are working fine. Infact..The place where i got it installed hooked it up just the way you described. Everytime when I either
1 Turn the ignition on or off with the system on.
2 Turn my radio on or off.
3 insert or eject a cd or cassette.
you here a bang ,thump, whatever you wanna call it kind of sound coming from the 2 10in subs.
Well,.. I purchased it at P.C.Richards and had it 1st installed in my 95 GXE at Queens Autosports (Well known stereo place around my hood and NYC).
Then I had it removed and then installed in my 2kse through the dealer which of course they screwed it up more so I had to go back to Queens autosports.
And then Finally I took it to Kenwood In Jersey where they told me that I should get a custom deck because they couldn't do anything about those sounds it was making. Maybe I should upgrade to a better system... How much did you pay for your system (labor included)? Can you feel the bass kick from outside?

grey tailight paints!
Hey MrBurner!! Are you there? Did you know they sell spraypaint for tail lights? I noticed you wanted your tailight color to match your body. I don't know if they have it in your area but they sell it here in NY. One thing though, everything's written in Japanese so I don't know how to use it.
yeah, i know about the taillight spray, but all i can find is black, smoke, blue, and green...i need it to match up w/ the silver paint...i'm still probably just gonna keep the taillights the way they are
the deck isn't the problem...i have the stock bose system...stock speakers, stock deck...and mine doesn't have that problem...kenwood just wanted you to buy one of their decks...what guage power wire are you running? my best suggestion is to go to this car audio place and tell them you just want to see if it is the subs...i'm sure they will let you test out a different amp and different subs...just be sure to tell them that you are planning on buying different subs since you aren't too pleased w/ these...they should let you test anything you want...my subs go for $200 each and my box was $200...thats 600 there...i have all these prices on my webpage by the way...dynomat was about 200, my amp was 700 i think and all of the adapters and wiring cost another 200...all in all, if i could do it again, i probably would have bought nitrous or something...but too late for that now...i like my system but i know there isn't any way i can get back what i paid for it or even close to that...i can probably get 150 per sub maybe 100 for the box and 500 for the amp...to me, i'd rather keep my system then have about 750 in my pocket

There's a place in Bayside called Fizz. It's located on Northern Blvd. & 220th St. The Eibachs are around $250 to $275 (I forgot the exact price) and Tockico shocks are $350. You should install them both to save on labor charges. I had to pay double for labor because I installed them separately.
