Maybe everyone thinks it's a silly question, I dunno. No, of course your strut tower braces don't void your warranty.

I think it should be said the dealership may give you some lip, and imply you are abusive to the vehicle. But, in the end, it does not void the warranty.

My dealer said it will but other ppl say it wont.. Don't know which is right.... The simple thing will be to just remove it b4 you go to the dealer. It's only gonna take like 10 mins to remove & You wont have to go through a hassle when you bring it in for warranty.

Do they feel guilty when they're dishonest to you?

Your dealer is dumber than mine. So, according to them, if you put a FSTB on your Max, all warranty work is off? You should report them to Nissan NA.

Hey guys, come on, this is our car and we pay big buck for it, it's obvious that many mods make our car even better, and I am not going to be dishonest and certainly not remove my mods every time I go to the dealer. Some mods like S/C are more on the edge but FSTB can't cause any damages to the car.

Cheers

It should not affect your warranty. Unless, of course, you were to use too much or too little torque when attaching it and somehow damage your strut tower. You might then have a difficult time requesting a free repair.

When it comes to warranty work, just like submitting any other insurance claim, there is a contract and usually some room for interpretation. My dealer told me that installing ANY after market part made by Nissan will NOT void the warranty. I've never seen anything in writing to confirm that statement. The service manager then said, in regard to any other modification, that suspension modifications could void the suspension's warrany (but nothing else), and engine modifications (e.g. intakes) could void the engine's warranty (but nothing else). So, after all that, I'm sufficiently confused on the issue and believe dealers tell us this b.s. because warranty work can often be a subjective call (this is why a tsb often helps). If you modify the car and they say the mod caused the problem, what can YOU really do? Argue and complain? Get another opinion from a non-local dealer? Write a nasty letter to corporate Nissan? Hassle with hiring and paying a lawyer? I bought my car used, and I'm not sure I even received a written copy of the warranty. Anyone have anything useful in writing, or a reference to where I could find something??

According to my dealer.. the STB is the only part that they won't get cranky about. The mechanic actually recommended it on my first service. (he had a '99 w/ the bar)

I wouldn't worry about removing/replacing the stb every time you get work done or an oil change.. they shouldn't hassel you.
