running N/A, 370's and Z32MAF?
I will be installing a V2 in the near future and I have 370cc injectors and a Z32 MAF. My question is can I install the injectors and MAF before the S/C install and still run fine N/A? Or can I at least install the 370's with no exta fuel management and still run fine without the Z32 MAF? I am just hoping to cut down some of the install time of the actual S/C by getting the injectors in early. What problems will I run into if any? Thanks.

Carson what ECU are you running? Lookie here for a32 ecu : http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=288529 |
I would think so. I ran NA with A32 ECU, A32 MAF and Z32 injectors with no problem.

Interesting. the reason I'm asking is that I have to pass emmissions later this year and the JWT ECU throws code 1005. I can't pass Emmissions with any Codes in my ECU in WA State.
I was thinking I'd have to put the Stock ECU back in and remove the injectors. I plan on putting the stock belt on and bypassing the SC when I go. If this is true, I simply need to undo the SC and put the stock ECU back in. |
No codes or anything. You may need to lower your fuel pressure. I never tried it with stock pressure, but I gotta think it should work just fine.

yes I am running the stock A32 ECU...but the thread you posted is for FI cars....I would like to get my injectors in before I install the supercharger...so my question is can I put the injectors and walbro in with everything else stock and still run like the car is using stock injectors and fuel pump? If I cannot do this then please let me know how I could set it up prior to the S/C install. Thanks.

Carson I am still not boosted. For a week I ran: a32 ecu, a32 maf, 370s, stock fuel pump, and stock fuel pressure. My car "worked", but it would stall at EVERY startup unlesss I feathered the gas pedal. I think it was getting too much fuel and bogging it down. Also, my car would stall frequently if I went into neutral like when coasting to a stoplight. After that week, I installed my walbro AND lowered my fuel pressue from 34 to like 26. My car runs perfect now, I can go WOT fine. Stephen ran a z32 maf non boosted for a very short time, there was not much data on this. WIll the z32 offset the 370s? You can always save the z32 maf for the SC install. BTW: where are you going to mount the z32 maf? |
I have not gotten that far as to where to mount the MAF...any suggestions? Also what is the part number of the walbro fuel pump we need? Thanks.

Carson Walbro PN is GSS342 (255lph high psi). As for mounting the MAF, most guys who are boosted put it before the blower from what I have seen. I am also running 370cc's N/A right now with the stock MAF and SARD FPR (waiting on some time to put the blower on). FP is at 27 and she seems to run fine, lil boggy at times. I also decided to take her to redline one day just to see what would happen. Felt like the car hit a brick wall at around 5K rpms (have a VI and it was working). Musta been my 4:1 FMU that I put inline in preparation of the blower, lol. |
isnt the walbro gss341 the same thing just without all the other hardware....thats all we need right?
|
I think the difference is one is high pressure and the other isnt. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong
|
so which one?
ok, so the gss342 is the 255lph (high psi) and the gss341 is the 255lph non high pressure? is this right and if so which one should I run with the V2?
