It's time...
Hey guys...
After MANY months and 2 supercharger kits that were assembled and sold for $$ - I have decided I am actually gonna put one in my car. I was just wondering how long I should expect this project to take - I have Potato Head's write up and I think he quoted 10 hours - but I think i should be faster then that. Just trying to get an idea of just how long it will take to get this done and how much time I should schedule to do this. Also, how hard was this install - I've done everything on my car this far from Clutch, to 2 transmission, axles, exhaust, intake short throw shifter etc...where would you guys rate it as far as compared to the other stuff I have done. I have air tools (but no lift :( ) and every tool i would need to do the install too. |
Your skills sound more than adequate! The install can be done in a weekend, IF you have all the parts, and IF you have a friend help you. The hardest part (for me) was the extremely small space you have to work in when attaching the bracket to the motor.
Ten hours is what Stillen quotes for their labor to install. They don't need head scratching time, or to go to the parts store 10 times. Pay extra attention to the pulley alignment and you should be fine. |
the head scratching and parts needed are the most time consuming.
if there is anyone that has done it around you, try and have them be there or take a look at it before you start it up. itll save some headaches. |

Don't rush or you will do things more than once. Take your time and go step by step :doublethu
