what would happen if i install 555cc's?

if I install these without EU or safc will my car still work? im assuming they would probably run rich, but I can probably tone it down some using the fpr, but theyd run better than my stocks i assume. until my electronics come in at least..

trialt Apr 1, 2007 09:21 PM

anyone have any idea about this?

MaxInProgress Apr 1, 2007 10:02 PM

you will run rich, if you try and boost you will probably bog, but yeah youll be safe though. Install emw ithout a problem.

Why not wait until you got the other components to go with them? I would. To go with the 555 injectors, I've read that the Z32 MAF is needed to balance things out. I posted a link in the Definitive Fuel pressure thread. I imagine that without tuning, your car will be harder to start due to the extra dumping of fuel.

I'm going to try this route myself one of these days...

yes iv also ordered a z32 maf =)

I30tMikeD Apr 3, 2007 10:27 AM

you cannot run 550cc injectors with the stock MAF and no engine management to controll the injectors. It probably would not even start

trialt Apr 3, 2007 11:46 AM

but with the z32 maf it would work right?

Zero-K Apr 4, 2007 03:36 AM

it might start, but it wont run very well.
You can put 370 injectors in with the Z32 MAF without management, but higher than that and you'll be running too rich.

I30tMikeD Apr 4, 2007 08:30 AM

Yes, you can run a Z32 MAF and 550's....search my old threads on the topic. You will need an SAFC probably too

didn't matty have a hard time starting his car after installing them?

meximax Apr 4, 2007 04:19 PM

I have zero problems starting my car with RC550s and a Z32 MAF. I does idle a bit rich, but other than that its fine. I am using SAFC for WOT tuning.

This dyno vid shows how quickly and easily the car starts.

I went through three sets of plugs before I lagged the injectors on the Emanage ultimate. There is a before and after lag box on the EU setting, and from the factory the 555's are lagged to .7....so .7 has to be put in that box for the car to start. Right now I have .7 before and .7 after so theres no lag difference in the injectors. I am also pulling fuel at start up as well.

yea I read i30tmiked's writeup on it so apparently it WILL work if i install the z32 maf and 555's at the same time... just need something to tune fuel and pull timing if needed. =)

YOUR CAR WILL START ONLY WHEN IT IS COLD ONCE IT WARMS UP & SHUT OFF YOU WOULD HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE FUSE FOR THE FUEL PUMP START THE CAR & WHEN THE CAR START RUNNING PUT THE FUSE BACK IN. THAT'S WHAT I HAVE TO DO WITH MINE:greenboun

For the love of God, use periods, commas etc and don't use all CAPS!!! :newbie:

Ummmm..... the car won't start w/o the fuel pump fuse in place. Pulling the fuse and trying to start the car will relieve the fuel pressure. Even if it did work, it's only a temporary fix. Nobody in thier right mind would live like that.
