Car turned off at a stop light again after a WOT run. I bought a low mile maf and if that doesn't do it, next up is the ECTS. And if that doesn't do it, then ima change the fuel filter.

And if that doesnt work ima start a fire

My $3.60 boost leak tester

I ordered new couplers and t-bolt clamps. Should get it on this week or next week. Still need to install the EBC.

I have never tested for leaks and i have been wanting to make one of these to test my setup, i know for sure i have a TINY little leak in one of the welds for my charge piping, only way i know is cause it sweat a little it of oil from the weld when i was having blow by problems...

Now i have a question on this tho, do you pressurize the whole setup including the Intake plenum? Do you crack the throttle plate open a little? Leave it alone? I was always curious to know how you were SUPOSED to do it...

I have all my new pipes now. I took off the ones that go into the engine bay and started painting them black today.
As I was cleaning the IC today, still had more oil residue left in it. So I took my amsoil power foam and cleaned it out. Hopefully that is all well now.

Tomorrow I need to go to my alu welder and get some of my other pipes welded so I can paint them black.

Then I can hopefully install it all and do a leak test.

I need to go buy a 5gall air tank so I can do a leak test.

I just did a tune because the car was RICH AS **** at partial throttle. I have it decent right now. I was only running 13-17 degrees timing in the mid range so I fixed that. Right now max boost is only 5-6psi. I need to install the EBC still but it is way too hot to work on the car

Never did the EBC, still have the solenoid if anyone wants it.

Switch to Z32 maf, everything is good right now. Running at 8-9 PSI. Need to switch the wastegate spring so I can get to 12psi. I need to fix one of my pipes in the rear, it started to sag.

I am switching to a Magnaflow high flow cat this summer, installing a J&S safeguard, and upgrading my Holset HX35 to a faster spooling HX35.

It is only about 8psi right now. I think close to 10 in 4th.

They changed the tone of the entire car. With the new headers/muffler/cat boost comes in faster. Power wise it is def faster in the top end.

So I just put on a new turbo.

I have a HX40 and a .62 turbine housing from Tims Turbo's

.62 vs. HX40 housing

New turbo with the new housing

HX35 vs HX40

Here is a quick vid of it in first.

Sounds awesome, but I have some boost leaks, no muffer yet, and i need to fix the oil feed.

I currently put a .037 jet for the oil restrictor but i think i need to go up to .060-.07x. I bought a NOS jet kit which has jets from .047-.071 so one of the 8 in that kit should work.

hopefully in the next month or so i can fix it all up and get some track runs in.

I read thru your thread and I may have over looked this but I have a few questions, now is your charge pipe made from aluminized steel piping or aluminium ? And how come you chose to go with a intercooler that had an inlet on one end and the outlet on another instead of going with one that has them both on then same end ?

Kevlo!!! So nice to see what you have done here! You took what was basically the Maxima RMT prototype V.2 (V.1 being Streetz) and improved the hell out of it. Well done!

Any chance you could post up a vid from a stop to say half way through 4th? Just to hear that sucker scream! Man I miss that sound lol
