Turbo manifold and Downpipe specs

So I just acquired a turbo kit off a fellow org member and am going to have a buddy of mine who has installed many turbo kits on cars install this kit... As I was speaking to him he said that it's not good to run the downpipe below the transmission due to heat that will build up from the downpipe to the transmission.. I was wondering if someone who has run the downpipe above their transmission on a 5.5 gen could chime in and provide me with pics and specs on the piping for both the downpipe and the turbo manifold.. Before anyone starts complaining that I need to do researched I've tried researching this on the org and google and have found nothing. Thanks in advance and I hope this makes sense.

Plenty of people run the down-pipe under the trans since there is more space then over the trans and back. Just wrap the downpipe and you will be fine.

I run mine above on my 3rd gen. Then down between firewall and motor. Very tight squeeze last setup I ran under and never had problems I had it heat wrapped also.

It's about 4.5" from the ground and my car is lowered on Eibach springs. The piping is only 2.5" so that gives me a little more clearance.

But yeah, it scrapes but very rarely. I've only scraped it like once going up a steep driveway.
