http://www.mymizu.com/nimaalrama19.html
The Mizu performance aluminum radiator is the perfect upgrade to your stock radiator. Made from the highest grade of aluminum, all Mizu aluminum radiators are hand-welded and hand-made to create a perfect radiator with a direct OEM fitment without any cutting or modification needed. All Mizu radiators are designed and engineered to maximize cooling efficiency by increasing the radiator core's thickness, fin density and using 2 radiator cooling rows as opposed to 1. These advancements in cooling technology will protect your car from overheating under the harshest conditions. All Mizu radiators come with a high pressure 1.3 bar Mizu radiator cap and an unparallel lifetime warranty. Radiator Measurements: Overall Size: 28.2" x 21.3" x 2.07" Core Size: 15.71" x 27.08" Rows: 2 Inlet: 1.4" Outlet: 1.4" Core Thickness: 1.57" Tank Wall Thickness: .08" Fill Neck: 1.25" Drain Plug Thread Size: (M16) .06" Drain Plug Thread Length: .047" Also Fits: Nissan Maxima GLE 95-99 Nissan Maxima GXE 95-99 Nissan Maxima SE 95-99 Infiniti I30 96-99 Engine Codes: VQ30DE Chassis Codes: A32 My radiator is starting to leak under pressure through the upper end cap. Very weird leak since it seems to bubble through the pores of the plastic end cap. On to the pics: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-u...-50-28_775.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-e...-52-29_955.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-B...-53-06_975.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7...-53-15_926.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-X...-53-21_218.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-g...-53-30_898.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-L...-54-12_284.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-h...-54-43_735.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-K...-54-56_642.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-R...-56-41_340.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-E...-57-05_390.jpg I like it. Only potential downside is that the drain plug is now on the right/passenger side. So I might have to drill a hole in the splash guard similar to the factory one. Welds look pretty solid. I got it for $192 from a vender on ebay. I might install it this weekend; I also have a new water pump and hoses I need to install. I have not decided on the coolant I want to use. I might use Toyo Red again. But we will see. |
oh datz purty mang :D

Nice! I'm thinking about an aluminum rad too. Did you get one of them sweet silicone hose kits?

Nope, I don't see a need for um. I bought some Gates radiator hoes from Rockauto along with a Nissan/Aisin WaterPump :chuckle:

I appreciate the pics. I do the same thing. It's all about the details. :)
High of 83 degrees here in Cali tomorrow.:p |
Looks pretty good!
Youll have to let us know the clearance with your turbo... My headers *cattman* are pretty close to the stock fans on my Mishi. You know if they offer a fan and shroud kit for the Max also? |

I've been running a Mizu for going on two years now, I'd say it was a good buy, only issues I've had is the radiator cap slightly slightly rub on the inside of the hood and the drain plug oring is not very well made.
The I30 I'm running it in isn't boosted so I can't really comment on how well it cools or fits with a SC kit or anything. |
Pics of the leak.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-e...513_132809.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-f...513_132816.jpg I have yet to start the install. I think I am going to do a little bit each day starting tomorrow. |

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Z...519_111519.jpg Installed with new rubber grommets https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-a...519_111525.jpg Dayco upper rad hose - the oem clamp fell in the V  so I had to use a worm clamp https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-s...519_111534.jpg Dayco lower rad hose So carnalc30 is 100% correct. The rad cap hits the hood, but it think it hits the rubber stopper in the middle of the hood so I think if I file some rubber off of that it will be fine. The rubber washer on the drain plug is very thick and requires the plug to be tightened VERY tightly not to leak. Another minor issue I had was installing the fans, you have to either need to drill the two holes at the bottom of the rad bigger (where the fan support sits) or shave some plastic off the fan shroud. But so far so good, im flushing the car right now and should be done in the next 2-3 hours. I am going to refill with some Peak antifreeze. I did not change the water pump and will do this at a later time. |
Oh and fan clearance to the headers is just fine, no issues at all.
|
Nice. I need to upgrade to a aluminum radiator in the neer future... I really like the Mishimoto for the only reason that slim fans are available for it
