00vi vacuum LInes

for those that still have a functioning 00vi with their setup where do you have you vacuum lines hooked up .. ?? in the pressured line or at the intake at the turbo inlet.??

If you need a vacuum source then connect to the intake manifold, usually near the throttle body.

I don't need a vacuum source .. its a dek .. from factory the 00vi is hooked up to the intake. Should i connect it in with the intercooler piping pressurized or at the intake of the Turbo

Don't go out of the way to connect any factory sensors or solenoids to boost only source. The only thing that must be connected to a boost only source is the wastegate. The intake manifold goes into vacuum when the throttle plate is closed.

The 2 ports on the 00vi where do u connect those to on a Turbo car?

After a bit of reading (http://forums.maxima.org/3737021-post5.html), it seems as though the 00vi requires vacuum to activate (at an rpm that you would possibly be in boost). I would probably hook that vacuum source up pre-turbo so that you always have vacuum.

This is just an educated guess. Hopefully someone with a boosted dek or boosed 00vi can chime in.

The VI is vacuum operated, so yes you do need a vacuum source.

Check this thread out: http://forums.maxima.org/all-motor/3...y-problem.html

It discusses the fact that you DO NOT connect the VIAS to a vacuum source!

You can also take out the VI rod. Dyno proven. :D
