Supercharged/Turbocharged The increase in air/fuel pressure above atmospheric pressure in the intake system caused by the action of a supercharger or turbocharger attached to an engine.

Thoughts about going 4" exhaust? Improved equal length header design?

Doesn't seem that way. Look at all the welds on the Meisterschaft Titanium exhaust. Here's a pic of the axle-back on the 370Z.

in general the VQ, especially the 3.5, has been shown to have more of a bottle neck with getting air in then out. I would start there 1st...I am sure this exhaust will look bad *** tho...

Power House Racing...aka PHR. I know them because they've been in the Supra game for a long time, and recently developed a full Ti exhaust for the Supra...which got me thinking.

We just started talking about it.

Now should we use the stock runners, cut off the rest, and fab up a custom manifold, with say a 3.5" TB and no EGR?

Modify a MEVI manifold?

Or build from scratch?

I would think port the lower at the least. If you could replace it all together with shorter runner lengths overall it would be better for higher RPM horsepower. Everything should be thought about shifting the powerband to the right imo.

Check this out: http://horsepowercalculators.net/int...anifold-design <--it all seems to make sense and is logical. Tapered log style with internal stacks ftw.

SG's intake manifold testing: http://www.onpointdyno.com/?p=693 & http://www.onpointdyno.com/?p=1110

SG proved on the 3.5 it was all about the intake and their exhaust remained the same the entire time. Their custom long tubes which only made like 7whp more than the cattmans unless I am mistaken. Now at higher HP levels that may not remain true.

If you can get the 4'' in with no issues that is awesome. It might be easier with the oval piping. I wouldn't touch the headers unless you can prove them to be holding back your power. Can't you drop a pully size, better intake mani, big cams, and call it a day? Obviously what your goal is for the car is ultimately yours...

You are still a 3.0 right? If you want the best bang for your buck wouldn't the 3.5 swap be the place to start with the 3.0 timing chain cover and keep the SC?

Thanks for the links F&FMax, much appreciated.
It appears the 4" Ti fits!
I'm running the smallest pulley Vortech makes. I may run a 928motorsports pulley and go even smaller. Yes, I can still do cams, and yes I'm still a 3.0. I want to see what can be done with the ol' trusty 3.0 for now w/o going 3.5.

How much will you be over spinning the blower?

What do you hit now 9psi?

Headwork might help you some but not worth the cost imo unless you do cams and springs to rev it out. A 3.5 swap would be cheaper and open you up to many more engine components.

I only leave this here as it is funny:

edit. I don't claim to know anything.

would a 5inch round resonator/mufler have fit in the b-pipe, a str8 exhaust might be alittle loud for my liking

It's been a while since I've done the calculations, but it wasn't horrendous IIRC; and it's only for a second. Besides, I'm not too worried about the SC. I now know how to rebuild superchargers and where to get good quality seals. As they say, gotta pay to play...
Recently, I rebuilt a SC just prior to installing it on my daily driver Max about two months ago.

I should be hitting 12psi, but I'm at 10psi with the PWR water to air aftercooler system.

Not sure. Systems are done, will be shipped to me soon. Install will be immediate, dyno will have to wait a little when time frees up. I hope to post up some sound clips though to tie you guys over...
