Turbo Setup for Low End Power
3.5 swap 3.0 Nistune ECU and Timing, hotshot headers, nwp spacers, 2.5in catback. Drove my VQ30 for the first time in months and just WOW at the difference in low end power, the vq30 feels like a go cart.
I've been looking at 5.5 maybe 6 PSI on a Garrett Gen II GTX2976 with a T3 .63 A/R Turbine Housing. For the top end I only have a goal of 350-400whp tops and I think the .63 A/R is enough to support me to high revs, I don't really go past just over 6k. This is my daily driver and I do mostly in town driving. My ideal setup would spool as early as possible full boost at 2k would be sweet but I'd settle for 2.5k and still pack 350+hp on the top end Also looks like 2.25 piping supports 700cfm, 2" 500 cfm, 3" 900cfm, I know my 2.5 exhaust will be good for the quick spoolup I'm trying to take everything else into account also |
The .63 a/r is perfect for daily driving imo. I had a MasterPower 50 trim .63 a/r. The power was there when you needed it, I wasn't a high rev driver either, getting on the highway on ramps was my favorite, and scaring the wife accelerating as well.
