TE 37 Center Caps won't fit - Help!!!
 

I got the 18x8.5 +40mm but the center caps won't fit the front and rear as the axle sticks out too much. Someone suggested that I put wheel spacers to fix this. Does anyone know what size spacers I would need and what size is safe to use? I go to the track often so I don't want to take any unnecessary chances. I believe that Jane put on spacers on her TE37s so if anyone knows her user name please let me know so I can PM her...thanks

Actually I was surprised too. There is still some gap b/w the fender and the wheel. Just not sure how much. I've heard that +35mm sits flush w/. the fender, but Volk doesn't make TE 37 in 35mm offset.

I was going to get some from him a while back but paypal didnt work on his and i ended up gettign refunded. Besides im gonna go for some Volk Challenges instead of the TE37s

No! Don't even bother contacting those guys (Kitsune and Mike) as it's nothing but a scam. I haven't even received my money back. I got these TE 37s from Discount Tire. My guy really cut me a nice deal, but it was obviously still expensive compared to what Kitsune had quoted.

What center caps did you get? The standard concave ones?

The only ones that will fit are the GT spec carbon fiber ones or some bronze ones like what Ange(Redlinemax.com) has.


Edit: THe GT carbon fiber ones wont fit on regular TE-37's, they fit on the Le-37's like what Jane97se has.

Damn Smokin im sorry to hear about the scam, I know I was lucky then cause they had some crap screw up with their paypal acct I sent the money to. If ya need me to testify to get yer money back that they scammed ya let me know. So discount tire had Volks eh, think ya could find out if they can get me a set of black volk challenges, im all over those things now for the max

Matt - They are the standard ones. They're flat and not concave and they should fit in the space if the axle wasn't sticking out. I sent Jane a PM to see if she used wheel spacers before she got the GT ones

I have Te-37's and I dont have any center caps on. They will fit the rim but like you said the axle hub sticks out to far. It doesnt look too bad w/o the caps on, gives it more of that touring look I guess.

Yeah, I hope I can get my money back. Never knew that this was a scam where they would just take the money and run. I know we were all concerned about the wheels being genuine. Matt - I don't mind it at all, but as I have the Center caps, I'd like to use 'em...otherwise i can always return it back...
