Post your experience if your sitting on 19's
 
I live in NY and the streets out here are terrible. I had 18's about two weeks ago until i spun out and cracked one of my rims. But my rims were dented within a week of me purchasing them anyway. I want to go up in size and get 19's. Your probably thinking that i shouldn't because of my previouse experience with 18's but my 18's were chrome and heavy. i have a pearl white max and want to get GM rims with polished lip. I figure if i stay away from chrome i'll be alright. My question is are there any complications with 19's on a max and if you have 19's what kind of suspension and drop are you using??????

So far I've had no problems with my 19's. The roads here in PA are really bad, almost every major road in my area is under some sort of construction. I'm just really careful with where I drive and how fast. I must say it has taken some of the fun out of driving the car but they look great. I'd say go for them...

Hamy..u really can't compare....if those are REAL SSR's, they are forged....which is the stronged method of building an aluminum wheel possible.....


as for the original poster....as I've told Nice95gle who lives in Brooklyn, if you had 18's and bent them (especially chrome-which are heavier and WITHSTAND potholes BETTER because of the heaviness) then you definitely do not want 19's

why?? simply because of tire thickness or shall I say thinness...a 19" wheel has a 35 series tire...they are rubberbands for NY streets...you are asking for problems, IMO...

stick with 17's in NYC

I'm from queens but i roam the streets of brooklyn. I know what you saying but i hate how 17's look on the max..... :soapbox:

check out my page. i got stock suspension for now with progress springs. i live in L.A. so i also need to watch the roads also. it is lower looking right now and will be better once i get my shocks + a body kit. no complications except be careful when you drive.l
