New Rims - 1st 4th gen with HP EVO's **PICS**

Couple more pics on my domain page

I'm gonna need to get some spacers in order to put the center caps on, but overall I got a great deal from Henrik (maxed up). They look sweet and def add some flava and make it stand out a little more.

Now all I have to do is update my sig

MacAlert May 26, 2004 06:04 AM

Damn, everyones getting rims. Making me jealous. Looks good. BTW, since you asked a while back, I'm going to Don's on Monday for the rest of my system.

krazyd May 26, 2004 06:04 AM

those look HOT man! :D

looslip May 26, 2004 06:42 AM

I remember there was another 4th gen before you. It was beige but it had some huge wheel gap. Yours looks good. Welcome to the HP Evo club.

gtr_rider May 26, 2004 06:43 AM

Very nice, I like those rims

maxspeed96CT May 26, 2004 06:51 AM

very nice man, i was going to go with a almost exact rim but changed my mind because i took easy to clean into consideration when buyin and they were realy $$$ in 19"

how much did the hole setup run you???

optimus310 May 26, 2004 06:53 AM

Nice wheels. Not the first 4th gen with them, but HOT!!!!

I30tMikeD May 26, 2004 07:12 AM

how much do they weigh?

Kevlo911 May 26, 2004 07:26 AM

I liked your old wheels better :wall:

But  anyways.

Conrad283 May 26, 2004 07:49 AM

I'm sure someone else had them, the title is one of those :attention title's :)

Rims - 675
Tires - 600
Mount & Balance - 86

Mike - the rims/tires aren't that heavy. I didn't put them on a scale but they're def lighter than the arrows. I want to say like ~25 lbs for the rim and ~10-15 lbs. Don't hold it to me. I have to put spacers on, so when I do, I'll throw one on the scale

Mad-MAX_SE May 26, 2004 08:07 AM

I thought i was the first one

:wall: ....yes it's a chop :grinno:, it looks really good man.

Wisky97SE May 26, 2004 08:39 AM

They look great . . . . good choice, they remind me of the wheels that came on the 2002 530i sport.

That car you speak of is mine! I have had them for almost a year.

I have the ones with the darker center though. I think they look better, the contrast the color of my car.

stephenlc May 26, 2004 08:58 AM

When I get the money, I am going to get the center caps to fit god dammit.

I still have the huge wheelgap....... :(

C MAX May 26, 2004 09:27 AM

nice  how are the pirelli's those were my second choice to pole positions. i hear they stick pretty good.

jkklim May 26, 2004 09:30 AM

Those rims look awesome

maxima105 May 26, 2004 09:34 AM

Nice wheels......

DAVE Sz May 26, 2004 09:43 AM

They got too much going on, too many spokes.

kingrukus May 26, 2004 12:43 PM

Have you tried flattening the hub sheilds? my rear shields prevent my rims from fitting, so I had to remove them completely. I think my rear bearings will die soon. I plan on going with the 5mm h&r spacers....what do you plan on doing?

The rims look hot...that lip looks deep.

metallic97gxe May 26, 2004 01:54 PM

looks nice very cool styling...

ohannon7 May 26, 2004 02:15 PM

looks good but your not the 1st 4th gen w/ those wheels...........

what suspension do you have?

BlueC May 26, 2004 04:34 PM

Im happy with my Titanium SE-L wheels.... :)

BLKMAX005SPD May 26, 2004 04:59 PM

looks good...
take that rear cap off and the center caps will fit

Same rim and Tire set up as me...
pirelli's are niice...but when it gets a little cold out and the car sits over night you get some flat spots...but they go away after a couple miles

My inspiration towards this purchse, I thank you, and I thank you for the tip, I'll check that out

My suspension is H&R's and KYB AGX's. I have two subs in a box as well as a MDF floor in the trunk so it sits a little low.

Thanks for all the compliments guys.

Hamy May 26, 2004 07:27 PM

Wow you can't beat the lip on those things. If it was me I would have the centers powder coated gloss black. That would look soooo badass!

Nismotic May 26, 2004 07:50 PM

i agree. im loving them-and glad you didnt go w/evo5's like the rest of the losers in the org. :grinno:

Taken2DaMax May 26, 2004 08:05 PM

Yeah the ones that come on the 530 sport are 17x8 ASA AR1 OEM's which is what i'm going to buy as soon as i get my first 2 paychecks. The 18x8's are only 22lbs and ASA is partners with BBS, technology etc but they are cheap since they are made in Korea :)

nupe500 May 27, 2004 05:11 AM

nice looking rims...there...clean!

sagamax May 27, 2004 06:26 AM

nice i love those rims i always admired them when i see them.

Bluesbrekr May 27, 2004 06:57 AM

Very nice, Conrad. You beat me to it! I'm hoping to get mine on the car today or tomorrow.

I'm working on a modification to the center caps so they will fit without using spacers. If it works, I'll post some pics. These wheels (18x8, 38 offset) stick out far enough on 5th gens. IMO spacers on the front would make them stick out too much.
