lol.. sterling you make me laugh, but what is funniest is how you think you can buy two newer maximas with fewer miles on it then yours? Please explain how that is possible? Also, my "website" was created the first day I bought my car so no I am not "ashamed" to show my interior. About the cloth seats everyone does not like leather seats, nor do they make you a "baller" what are you trick daddy now? Summer's here we have days in the 90s+ so why do I want to ride around with my @$$ on fire?? Never said I was a baller, but that statement of buying two of my rides is very funny to me. 
I've done more work to my car on modifications alone that I could buy a 98se max with the amount of mileage you have, so don't speak.
Like I told slammed, once you have some 20s you may speak with knowledge on the subject, until then keep riding minors.

Ok I just spent 10minutes doing some calculations for everyone so we can stop this. Now My car's recommended tire size (5th gen) is 205 65 15 or 215 55 16 or 215 55 17. THe problem here is that those 3 recommended sizes have different diameters so I will write all the diameters for the tires in question:
205 65 15 - 641.5mm 0r 25.66"
215 55 16 - 636.5mm or 25.44"
215 55 17 - 661.5mm or 26.46"
245 35 20 - 671.5mm or 26.86"
255 30 20 - 653.0mm or 26.12"
235 30 20 - 641.0mm or 25.64"
I have never seen 235 30 20 so I am not sure they exist. 255 30 20 is available but very difficult to find (Continental tires european market) and $$. 245 35 20 is the easiest and most common to find and it is the least expensive so that is why people choose this tire. Some seem to get some rub (depending on the offset and wheel width) but it is tolerable. So depending on what tires you consider the correct 'recommende size' your decision can be different.

thanks max, 255s are nice, but they won't work with a 99. Yes mack, i dont think 235's exist either but according to our 20 inch rim/tire specialist slammed he is positive they do, lol. Thanks for the help, guys.

You guys are all dumb. The most common tire size on a max with 20s is 245/35/20. I have seen a max with 255/35/20 but he didnt like it because the 255s have a little too much rubber compared to 245s. The 255s raise the car higher as a result and it'll look wierd. NOw, Nitto does make 225/35/20 and 235/35/20 tires but those have very narrow sidewalls and you're more likely to bend a rim, but on smooth roads they would look tight with a nice drop. I say 245/35/20 and you can get them fairly cheap.

A maxima isn't a car to "hook up" in the first place, I'm sorry i like 20s and chrome, thats my preference, jump off my d*ck. I don't care what your car looks like or what you've done to it, because i've spent more on my project zx if you want to get into who has spent more total on their vehicle(s) B/c i choose not to hook up a family sedan and spend the amount of money you did on it (for what reason not aware of) however if you want to play like that if i spent half the money i spent on the ZX i could not only buy all the mods you added to your MAXIMA but I could buy your entire car. I have other cars, will be getting a new one soon, and have a house, so no, the entire paycheck definitely doesn't go into the car.
And this here is a serious request. I'd really like to see pics of your 300ZX. If you've spent double what my car cost, I'd really love to see the pics. A lot of my friends have 300ZX's, several of them have been featured in magazines, they're all insane, and none of their cars has double the money of mine. We're all pretty much in the same ballpark. Just take a browse at the 5th gen forum, and you will see. Just drive down any avenue, and you will see plenty of clowns like this one. Just sucks we have to deal with them on this forum.

One bit of advice. With 20's running in CT you are gonna bend wheels. Wheel manufacturers come and go and the ones that stay phase out styles. Buy a couple of spare rims while you can and stick them in your closet.

Chrome 20" Spazios are $651 on eBay. Want that link?
And don't get me started on paint, I know more about paint/bodywork than you. So we'll add $250 to your total for paint.
As for the Sarona kit, different strokes for different folks. I never dissed your style, just mentioned what you paid for it. The Sarona was $1200 when I got it back in the day. And the hood is a Fiber Images custom painted. $550 hood with $400 in custom paint. The paintjob on my car is a custom 3 stage candy blue. It cost more than all of your Maximas mods, so let's not get into what each of us can afford.
The funny part is, I never dissed you for wanting chrome 20"s. So your first disclaimer doesn't even apply to me. I'm not hating on your car, just your attittude. I would have never been the guy to talk smack about anyone elses car because how you build your car is up to you. I'm just here because you started acting like you were something special for getting 20"s and so on. I think that was the same reason kloogy started calling you a baller. I'm just bringing up what you spent because it seems that you're acting like your car is all that when you really haven't spent that much on it. Nothing wrong with that, but don't act like others can't afford to do what you do.
I'd still like to see pictures of the Z though, and that is a serious request.

Hey guys - especially you veterans - the guy asked for helpful feedback. If you have none and merely disagree with his taste, how bout you honor his request to keep the thread clean and post elsewhere? 
I'm just really disappointed by the cocky attitudes of some org vets lately. Sure, I'm not much for 20's on a Max, but you guys know better.

all this reminds me of the 89 camry that i saw, it was sittin on spinners. yes funny and stupid but i bet the owner thinks he is as cool as the guy with the "stock" E55 AMG.

A couple years ago if I posted that thread it would have about 10 responses on helpful tips and reccomendations about the tires. Instead now, we have a*ssholes who say "chrome are gay, you have cloth seats, etc." There is no need for that b/s here and even when asked to keep the b/s out of this thread "veteran" @$$holes who have an ego because they're maxima is loaded with their annual salary, think they rule over all. How about you stop spending so much money on your family sedan and actually buy a bigger house for your families. People on this board have these "hooked up maximas" but yet are living in apartments and 100,000 homes. You wanna talk about being a baller, be a baller for real. Maxima's are not for ballers no matter what you do to it, no matter what kind of 17 inch alloy's are on it, they are not race cars and they are not for ballers.
