low profiles on stock 17's
does anyone run with kumhos or toyos on the stock 01 17 inch se wheels? if so hows the ride.
|
If you are planning on running a tire size other than stock, your speedometer will be thrown off, and asssuming you go with a shorter sidewall the ride will be noticeably more rough. Going to something like a 225/40/17 will also make the gaps between your fender and the tire look even worse, as you'll be decreasing the overall tire diameter.
Now that I re-read your post, I'm not sure if you're even planning on changing from the stock tire size. But the two manufacturers you listed have more than one tire obviously, the answer to your question will be dependant on which specific tire someone is running. |
don't make your wheel gap any bigger

The stock tires are already low profile. Any aspect ratio of 60 or less is low profile.

I have Kumho's 225/45/17 on stock chrome GLE wheels. They are a little louder but handle a lot better. I needed a stronger tire to protect my rims from getting ****ed up. Although I need a drop...BAD...I'm getting the Illumina's, but have to wait a little bit....

i was planning on dropping the car too, kinda like the look with the stock rims.

I'm currently running 245/45/17s on mine. It's wide enough thats for sure.
