Can i go with wider tires? YaY or NaY??

hey guys,i was curious as to whether or not you could put a 245/40/18 tire on a 18x 7.5 inch rim ??? some people on here say you absolutely can while others as that you absolutely can't, so what do you suggest?? i wanna go with wider tires but don't wanna change my rims to let's say 8" or 8.5" wide. ( i happen to like my current rims a lot). thanks...................

The internet is your friend. Go to the tire manufacturers websites and view the specifications for the individual tires, and the recommended rim widths will be shown for each tire size.

Yes you can. I'm using that exact setup for winter. 6gen maximas come w/ 245s on a 7.5" wide wheels.

What about 245/45 18??? Does anyone know if they would fit with an Ei-bach pro kit and tokico struts, on a 97 max???

So this may sound crazy but im looking for alternative tire sizes for my 6th gen because 245/45/18 is a unique size and is kinda pricey. Would also like to have other tires to choose from. Anyone know what sizes are closest to this size and can still fit on the stock 18x7.5s?

Thats a possibility but Im only going to buy different 18" wheels if i can find an affordable set that weighs under 20 lbs a rims. I would like some SSR comps but thats not going to happen. I know you guys sell enkei and I really like the wheels that you have but I cant find em for sale ANYWERE. I love the look and you cant beat the weight of em. If you have any suggestions or places I can find some, please let me know. thank you!
